No, to me, Roy was taking accountability, but to me in a way jerry jones was saying that he didnt have to, everything was ok.

There's that anti-Jerry agenda again; he said nothing of the sort...

I wanted roy to admit his mistakes so he can correct them and improve so he can be the player he can be and more. Just thats the way i read part of it;

I know the kinds of plays he is capable of making and can make. I think we will see those as we go into Philadelphia and the playoffs."
Have you seen Roy W makes those big plays? I havent !

Then you need to pay closer attention... I guess that 66 yard TD reception against the Bucs in the season opener wasn't a "big play"... I guess none of his other 6 TD receptions were big plays either... and I guess a 15.7 yards per attempt average doesn't suggest that most of his catches are coming downfield... I guess 29 of his 38 catches (76.3 per cent) going for first downs doesn't constitute big play potential...

Roy has made plays, just not as many as he should have thus far...

To me jerry was saying everything was ok dokey

Which once again is nothing more than your blatant anti-Jerry agenda... you're reading crap into his words that just isn't there...

Ogletree between the twenties and Williams in the red-zone.

No more distracting YAC thoughts to cause Roy to drop the ball.

Jerry can talk about his touchdown machine Roy Williams.

Case solved.

I'm a genius.

Actually, if this was the last game, against the Skins, my solution would have been to try to force the ball to Roy, get him into the flow of the game, help him get his swagger back... Roy's pressing, it's as simple as that; he's always had a rep as a pretty sure-handed receiver, which he surely is not right now...

Unfortunately, you can't do that in this next game, or in the playoffs...

;) Easy fella'...

Myself, I hope that instead of double teams now, that the Eagles almost ignore him. Think of what game he might have this one against Philadelphia. Lol, Silverbear...

So... Jerry didn't really say much of anything there.

Yet another misleading title to get people to post in the thread. (Guilty as charged) Jerry has been right more times than not this season when speaking to the media.

Like Romo did last week when he had his interception? :)

There is a chance Roy could still make game breaking plays as a complimentary player but Jerry opened his mouth fully and inserted his dress leather shoes in the orfice yet again with regards to Williams being a Legit #1 or for that matter near worth the 1st round pick we gave.

Just give Detroits Front office some credit, the truth is that he's simply not the force at the WR position Dallas thought he was.

Oh, I see. Jerry is suppose to go in front of the media before one of the biggest regular season games in franchise history and say, "yea, I have no confindence in Roy, he pretty much sucks and we got hosed on the trade".

Or would the smarter approach be to say you still have confidence in the guy and that you are positive that he is going to make some big plays in the playoffs???

Gee, I wonder which approach would be better.

Fraid so. If you appoint yourself to a job instead of earning it like everyone else, you're a phony. There are people who convincingly pass themselves off as doctors and lawyers every day, but even if they get "results," they're still phonies. And no, this doesn't just apply to licensed or accredited positions.

So let me get this right.........If I go into the oil business and sink my entire life savings into drilling wells and after dry hole after dry hole, I finally hit oil and make millions........then turn around and sink every penny of those millions into buying a professional football team and decide to run the team myself.........I am a phoney???

You talk about earning a position, you have heard of "on the job training" havent you??? If I am hired by a tech company to sell semiconductors and I have no idea what a semiconductor is, after 20 yrs on the job learning the industry I still would not have "earned it" as you say??? That 20 yrs of "on the job training" doesnt count in your view???

So by analogy, Jerry having 20 yrs of experience running a franchise doesnt count???

What do people expect Jerry Jones to say publicly? Everyone knows Williams hasn't performed up to contract standards.

I guess Jerry is suppose to publicly say what a bum Roy is and how terrible of a trade it was and how we totally got owned giving up a 1st for this clown.

I am so glad some of you guys have absolutely nothing to do with the daily operations of this franchise.

But if Williams is looking for a person for support he can look to Jerry Jones. Jones said he is not frustrated with Williams or the production since making the trade with Detroit.

"I don't believe that is the case at all," Jones said. "On a personal basis and professional basis, I have not [lost confidence]. I know the kinds of plays he is capable of making and can make. I think we will see those as we go into Philadelphia and the playoffs."

Didnt he say this above zoners?

And so Jerry is backing and supporting one of our players? The nerve of him.

Jerry publicly backing and supporting Williams is what I would expect, Jerry is not going to turn on him and RW teammates have not turned on him. I'm sure many are disappointed that Williams is not doing the job he was brought here to do but instead of acting like the media the Cowboys are just trying to encourage Williams and work with him in hopes of getting things going good for him.

I kinda think thats it as well, he's lost confidence. I said a few weeks ago that I thought the "team" needed something good to happen in December (and eventually it did) and I now think the same thing about RW. He just needs a couple of really good plays to happen for him I think, get that confidence back. He looks like he is getting open with little trouble, but he's gotta catch the ball. And he wont get multiple chances to do that if he drops one early in games every week.

I still havent seen a replay of that play. Live, I thought RW got his hands on it but the Commander DB got there at almost the same instant. I could be wrong, but that looked more like a good play by the Skins DB than a bad play by RW.

It seems to me whenever RW11 "drops" the ball it takes a leap 10 feet in the air first.

You mean Jerry wants Roy on the field despite the fact that Wade and Garrett want to bench him? He is going against the wishes of his HC and OC and contradicting their public criticism of Roy......no? Thats not what happened?

And where did Wade say he wanted to bench him? I have seen fans who want that but all I have heard from the Cowboys is support for Williams.

Exactly. That was my point. There is no need to make what Jerry said a headline cause he didn't say anything that Wade hadn't said in his PCs.
