Serious question. Who was our last true GM?
Tex.

This is a man that gas said:
I get it, do.
All decisions go through him.
And has a commercial where he rips the headset off a coach and prepares to take over.
He has taken over years ago. The regime is under dictatorial rule!
Part of the problem. In Jones' formative years, his two major influences were Tex Schramm (marketing) and Al Davis (owner in charge of everything).Tex.

Must be one of those two way mirrors because he seems to keep looking straight through the real problem.
Are you sure about Tex? I thought he quit very soon after Jerry bought the team.
Jimmy Johnson
Is it Christmas?
April Fools?
I think Watkins makes the point that someone really needs to bring home to Jerry -- even if the team were to win a Super Bowl, it would be in spite of his GM abilities. If he was truly a major part of the 1990's success, we would have had more positives between 1994 and 2013. The ship has sailed. The only way he can get credit now is as the Owner who asks his GM to step down.
So Jerry's starting with the man in the mirror.
He's asking him what's wrong with his ways.
And his message couldn't be any clearer.
If you want to get the team back in the race, take a look at an assistant coach and make a change.

Tex did leave after Jimmy bought the team. Jerry's last GM was Jimmy Johnson, or at least GM in responsibilities.
I wish Jimmy had bought the team. Haha
