Why? I'd rather let C-Mike spell DMC

I think it's obvious that DMC is the most complete back we have and there seemed to be some good chemistry with the line. I say run it until he breaks and by that time Randle will be back and they can figure out another rotation with Randle C-Mike and R.Smith

Frankly, I would rather have MacFadden be the starter also. CMike comes in for relief. If Randle comes back I'd have him sit as the 3rd back. As I've stated before he is ONLY good as a change of pace back. Plus he has similar qualities to MacFadden but that he's not as good as MacFadden. Let him be the 3rd back and let MacFadden and Cmike get the bulk of the carries.

That performance on Sunday vaulted the Cowboys run offense well into the top 10. I don't know where we were before Sunday. But I imagine it wasn't that high.

he had holes.

he's clearly shown(all season) he has more ability than randle.

this juice crap is garbage. the offensive line played it's best game, and dmc showed you what he's capable of when the guys up front do their job.

dmc shouldve been the game 1 starter.

No arguing the line opened those holes. Not even a decimal point.

I'm not sayin AP or Todd Gurley here.

I'm saying juice to turn those gears on and explode into those holes and gain whatever is there before and hopefully after contact.

Run DMC showed juice.

Does he have juice 10 more games from now who knows?

But he had juice. That ability (speed, vision and patience to let blocks develop) the other backs don't have.

He's clearly watching how they're going to hit him though and he put his head down when he needed to. But because he's so upright when running, and he knows it, any time a good knock on his frame can come. He's not a fumbler though.

But make no mistake. He showed that juice like when he first came into the league.

McFadden was awesome against the Giants but he hasn't cemented his place as the lead horse just yet. Spread the carries and see how he fares next week.

McFadden had a good game and I will give him credit for it. I would be surprised to see him stay healthy enough to have many more and I doubt his ability to have more than one or two of these games a year. This one game doesn't make up for his sub-par play during the rest of the season.

The team has played sub-par, to be fair.

McFadden had fresh legs from having less than 40 carries entering the game. Doubt he'll have another game like Sunday the rest of the season especially he becomes the workhorse. The number of carries will wear him down and it could lead to injury possibly a hamstring and those linger with him.

What has Michael done to deserve to be inserted in the starting role?

Once be drafted in the second round?

This Michael hype is utterly ridiculous.

HAVE TO AGREE

I can't understand why someone can't give an honest assessment or opinion of a player without it being construed as hate. McFadden is 28 which isn't old but he's an RB who's had a lengthy injury history. He had issues with both his hamstrings this summer so we're going to have to be careful with him. His injury history can't be ignored and I can't see him holding up to 20+ carries a game if that's what the Cowboys have in mind the remainder of the season. With Randle injured we can't afford to lose McFadden so we can't get carried away because of his performance on Sunday. Let him split carries with CMike to try and help keep them both fresh and hopefully healthy.

90% of this board knows that DMAC is a very unreliable RB due to injuries and he has never shown more than an occasional decent game or two every year. 38 years old is about the time for most RBs to start their decline. He has never been capable of carrying the load even in his younger years. That is not hating, that is history.

McFadden & Michael looked like a great 1-2 punch, but Randle was looking decent as well until he got hurt. I think the runnig game looked better because Cassell can actually throw the ball, and Collins is better than Leary.

Ask DMac if he would like less than 25 carries a game. He's going to say keep calling up my number.

I do believe he is best used the way they utilized him in Arkansas where he had a Felix Jones handling 5-10 carries/touches a game also.

This guy is 28 and not 20 anymore but if he has 85% of those wheels he can still hit home runs.

Despite what fans think of our coaching staff they will know how much he has left.

At this point we need wins so do what you have to do, otherwise it might not matter if Romo comes back.

I agree with them but this is where they are making a mistake.

McFadden will get hurt.

Just give Michael the bulk of carries and keep McFadden in the Dunbar role.

If you want to increase McFaddens workload in December then go for it. Don't do it now.

They can't hold anything back right now. They have to do whatever gives them the best chance to win.

It is a concern to over use McFadden but they have to roll with what is working and thus far McFadden has worked and C-Mike has NOT.

That's a bigger mistake.

Watch the game carefully when Michael was in. It was either a running play or a play where he immediately runs a route. It's obvious that his pass pro is not up to snuff.

McFadden should be the starter. They just need to spell him with Michael so McFadden is getting 18-23 carries instead of 25-30 carries.

And I have zero confidence that Linehan/Garrett can figure out how to do that.

Now that McFadden has shown that he might be hitting his stride, I would go with a 60/40 split with CMike. This keeps McFadden fresh all game long and limits the potential for him getting injured while also bring CMike further into the fold. This 1,2 combo can work and would also cause me to retire my Scatback By Committee reference.

I've heard that if Randle is out next week, that it will be McFadden starting with Rod Smith as the #2 RB. Rob Smith says that C-Mike is a scat back.

Someone claimed that C-Mike made some blocks in Pass Pro but I don't remember seeing that; although, it have not looked specifically to verify.
