I've heard that if Randle is out next week, that it will be McFadden starting with Rod Smith as the #2 RB. Rob Smith says that C-Mike is a scat back.

McFadden was awesome against the Giants but he hasn't cemented his place as the lead horse just yet. Spread the carries and see how he fares next week.
Someone claimed that C-Mike made some blocks in Pass Pro but I don't remember seeing that; although, it have not looked specifically to verify.
He made one but it was more a chip block for T.Smith
Cmike had a great stone block on a blitz pickup through the left side of the line. It wasn't a chip block.

I think the mistake here is the owner overstepping his bounds and saying who should and shouldn't start. He's the boss, no denying that. But he should let his Head Coach decide who starts.

I really saying to myself when I saw it "& they say he can't pass pro because they believe everything that comes out of Seattle".

That's a bigger mistake.
Watch the game carefully when Michael was in. It was either a running play or a play where he immediately runs a route. It's obvious that his pass pro is not up to snuff.
McFadden should be the starter. They just need to spell him with Michael so McFadden is getting 18-23 carries instead of 25-30 carries.
And I have zero confidence that Linehan/Garrett can figure out how to do that.

I'm glad so many have finally lost faith in Garrett.
It's about time everyone saw the light.
So many just decide what they think about a coach based on the W/L record. When the team's winning again, they'll come right back.
The reality is, that's not how coaches are judged. Jason Garrett's the reason the Cowboys have become a first-rate organization again. He's here for the long-haul, we're fortunately, and anybody who doesn't like it is just going to have to get used to it.
That is so not the reality.
It may be the reality here in Dallas because we are stupid but most teams have a produce or get out mentality in every sport at the professional level.
You think the Yankes, Lakers, Barcelonas, Real Madrids would stand for this?
Every top franchise is trying to get the best coach available. What we have done with Garrett is laughable.
Jason Garrett is not a good gameday coach and hes wasted many years here as our coach.
W/Ls are everything in sports. Everything.
W/Ls are everything in sports. Everything.
W/Ls are the organizational goal. When they're not winning, organizations have to evaluate every part of the organizations to determine what is deficient. You don't get anywhere changing everything, all the time, just because you're not winning.
And yes, I think the Yankees, Lakers, and Real Madrids would be doing what Dallas is doing now: diagnosing what the problem actually is and addressing it instead of complaining about the figure head when they like the work the coach is doing from top to bottom.
This is the play where he blocked. (8:57 2Q).
It was not a blitz pickup. It was a chip block. It appeared to be a designed chip block to make it appear as if he was staying in to block but he then released and caught a pass. It was an interesting play in that Tyron intentionally had a short set to allow for the chip block.
The knock on him in pass protection out of SEA wasn't that he couldn't block. It was that he'd be inconsistent about making those plays.
I think the issue is one of understanding his responsiblities in passing situations, too. The guy says he knew the playbook after being here a few days, but it's pretty obvious the team would like to play him but just doesn't feel confident that he can protect the QB yet.
