oh gotcha. i couldn't find the story anyways haha

If it is any consolations I was more upset with the Cowboys letting him score than the classless act he did afterwards. I did feel better when Teague went after him. :laugh2:

and the people that defended Ervin to no end now are dogging him to defend TO. Hypocrites indeed.

I'll always defend a Cowboy. (past, present, and future) If there's anyone woh happens to dislike it feel free to mock away. ;)

How about ex-Cowboys?

I have nothing against passion or passionate post. Name calling and making insulting remarks does not equal passion but a show of immaturity. Now That's my way of thinking.

I'm just returning the favor. It find it funny how those that have referred to myself and other that have defended Terrell with such esteemed names as boot licker, jock sniffer, nose diver, etc, etc haven't been publicly chasitised for their behavior. Just an observation. Very interesting.

I think you are mistaken but, your Observation noted .....

Hypothetical situation: Owens plays out his contract with Dallas and the next season (remember this is a hypothetical scenario) lands on another team. His new team plays Dallas. During the game, Owens spits a wad in Terence Newman's face.

Question: What would both your personal and public reaction (on the forum, for example) be towards Owens?

What if Larry Allen did it?

i'd tell Larry to get back in the kitchen where he belongs, and not to spit in my food

I would lose respect for Larry. Bad behavior is bad no matter what team you play for. I'm not looking for choirboys to play football but I do think a sense of sportsmanship is still important no matter what level in athletics you’re in.

"My opinion?" I would have a problem with it. What do you believe Bleu Star's reply will be of Owens?

How do you defend future Cowboys?

FYI, wearing the star doesn't make people infallible. Which is why someone who incessantly defends without prejudice, can be just as aggravating as someone who incessantly bashes without prejudice.

Both are basically the same thing, they've just taken different sides. But, they have pet names for each other, and get "passionate" about their side, and can't bear to hear the other side's opinion, or even discuss a middle ground.

It gets old.

I can't bear 11 pages of reading on this, but has the wording of Jones comments been discussed "he knew HIS plays". That is a big difference from knowing all the plays is it not?

leave it up to jerry to defend him. our franchise was tarnished the day jerry signed him.

The franchise has been tarnished for ten years now...

oh yea i remember jerry's face with a great big smile on it when owens disgraced the star;)

yes, TO disgraced the star

but the defenders on that field that day, disgraced the uniform, and Jerry had a huge hand in the make-up of that disgraceful roster

if Jerry can get over what happened on that day, we can too, it's about time everyone stopped bringing up the star incident

I did not like TO before the star incident or after and still don't like him, I don't care if Jerry does or not. As long as TO is on this team I hope he does a great job but doing the job and liking him are two different things.
