Now I’m ready for the season. It doesn’t officially start until jerry declares the cowboys a Super Bowl team. A fine tradition started over 20 years at sea world, where Jerry proudly proclaimed this next to a wet suit clad Dave Campo.
Was that the same season when "5-11 Dave" made the players punch a time clock? Good for a few laughs.

I want to see Jerry's interviewed after we lose our 1st playoff game this year. Just shut your mouth along with the players and just play and show us. Yes I think we have a chance but then again this team keeps sucking me in every year.

Can anyone tell me if Jerry was sober when he did the interview saying we have a chance? Because if Jerry said it, it must be true. I am going to have a hard time sleeping tonight as Jerry's words go through my head.

I've heard this for the past 27 years. I'd say Jerry doesn't know what he's talking about.

To me this is our most complete team in years. Especially with the additions of Gilmore, Cooks, and Mazi.

Offensively we'll be balanced, have a good oline. Prob the most questions are at TE right now.

Defensively, secondary is as good as it's been in a while. Guys like Micah, LVE, and Dlaw lead the front 7. Our biggest achilles heel was run stopping, hopefully between hankins, mazi it'll be better.

Well it would be nice if he didn’t say anything. If the guy just shut up for a long stretch it would actually help his team, its coaches and its players. But we all know that won’t happen.

Got that right.

Unfortunately...

Wrong, pessimist are always disappointed. That is why they are a pessimist. They look for the worst in everything. And that is not healthy for the mind. They ismply can't handle failure.

Optimist on the other hand have a healthy mind as they look at the world. Then when disappointment comes along, they handle it and move on.

Now this does not apply to everyone and everything of course, but probably to most. Just as well, there are many that are in between, they can be a little of both.
What the main thing is, how does one handle failure. So some fans whine, some fans are ready for the next season and what it could be.

Thomas Edison's quote, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work,” is a perfect reminder that failure is not the end. It is just the beginning of a journey toward success.

This is where the 2023 Dallas Cowboys are, the next journey to success.
You can be pessimistic about some things and optimistic about others. It’s not a blanket frame of thought. Different situations warrant each. Based on the last 27 years, pessimism fits the Boy’s like a glove.

I feel the same way but there’s an elephant in the room.

Yeah, the world isn't anywhere near that simple.

I can see the argument for Dak over Hurts. Hurts had a better year, but has far more talent around him, but the problem is that is still the case. The big problem is take QB out of it, can you name a position group on offense where the Cowboys are better than the 49ers or Eagles, because I can’t? The one advantage is I think both the Cowboys and 49ers are better defensively than the Eagles (and my hot take both were far better last year as well).
IMO Dak is at least as good or better than Hurts. But last year Hurts had an overall better team around him. Dak is good enough to win some playoff games (plural). But like most QBs not named Mahomes, he can’t carry a team on his back. He needs a really good supporting cast. He may have it this year.
