If Martin doesn’t show, no Jerry, you aren’t a SB contender. The trickledown effect on the OL is massive.
No team believes a top quality right guard is the difference between winning the Super Bowl and not winning the Super Bowl.

Reminds me of Phineas T Barnum, who claimed, "As a general thing I have not 'duped the world' nor attempted to do so.
I have generally given people the worth of their money twice told."
He also said "There's a sucker born every minute."

IMO Dak is at least as good or better than Hurts. But last year Hurts had an overall better team around him. Dak is good enough to win some playoff games (plural). But like most QBs not named Mahomes, he can’t carry a team on his back. He needs a really good supporting cast. He may have it this year.
He has a comparatively great team around him. If he’s better than Hurts the Cowboys will go farther in the playoffs this season than the Eagles.

Yeah, that's the one he was famous for. Some folks said he was just a very astute businessman. Some said, "a crook." There might be some striking parallels with Jerry and Barnum, and they both made money.

Sorry, hate to burst your bubble, but I lost hope probably 5-6 years ago, the Cowboys are my team, but it's strictly a matter of watch and see what happens.

0-17 or 17-0, I'll be here next year.

But hope? Nah...
Exactly my stance as well. I switched to the Bills as I live in the NE part of the country and my son-in-law and grandsons are Bills fans.
I still watch the Boys, but after years of empty promises and goals left unfulfilled, I lost hope. Maybe if Jerry hired a GM or sold the team, my enthusiasm would return.

Since 2020, Hurts has thrown 19 INTs and Dak has 29, with 15 of those INTs from last year. During the same span, Dak has fumbled 21 times and Hurts 6.
I would trade Dak for Hurts in a heartbeat. Turnovers kill drives and lose games.

You forgot to mention that Dak is injury-prone. He has only play 33 games in the last 3 years.

I just dont see it! Not with the way the last two seasons have ended. Unless the Cowboys get a Bye and the Eagles beat the 49ers in the playoffs and than play Dallas. But still Dak has choked against the Eagles before when Wentz had WRs off the street. You know Hurts is good for at least 24 points and Dak can't even put up more than 12 points. And we saw Dak against the Chiefs only able to manage 9 points a few years ago. I just can't see it.

He also said the team in 1997 was the most talented team he's ever had.

The offensive line we fielded took two or three seasons off of Aikman's career from the beating he took and we went 6 - 10.

I wonder what he said of that 2010 team because many were predicting that was a SB team.

The mystery wrapped in the enigma that is the Cowboy's culture under Jones will never let us win a Super Bowl as long as he is alive.

Whether it's the player's lack of respect for the head coach, the front office decision-making, the attention paid to off-football matters or just his obsession with media attention, it all adds up to the same ending every year.

In the hands of any other owner/GM, this team would absolutely be a contender - but that is not the case.

So the obvious answer is no. We cannot win it all this year and as we should all know by now it has nothing to do with the roster.

JJ wears 2 hats. There's JJ the owner and JJ the salesman. This is JJ the salesman talking. As in keep buying tickets.
