So, Romo can play until he is 40, but Jerry wanted to draft Manziel in the first round last year? He was supposed to sit for 6 years or something?

No, Jerry was thinking of how much fun he'd have with a new drinking buddy.

Yeah Jerry, they asked what your thoughts were and like an rational human being, they questioned your thoughts. Sort of like going to a doctor and then asking for a second opinion. That's how our society works. It doesn't work in the 'I gave my opinion, so there's no damn debate.' That's unless you're 8 years old.

YR

Not even close. When you want a second opinion, you ask a DIFFERENT DOCTOR. They asked him for his opinion, then when they didn't get the answer they wanted, they asked him again, as if they expected him to give them a different answer.

I'd roll the dice on a trade for Manziel. The Cowboys have a huge need there and enough compensatory picks which can now be traded to do so. I'd have little issue offering one of those 6th rounders.

As Fisher said (good article by the way), the Cowboys have already spent a lot more on several players who ultimately contributed nothing this year.

what does jerry know about qb's

absolutely nothing and it would appear Stephen is no better, they thought Weeden could play even though he was such a failure in Cleveland.the FO has no idea on QBs ,imagine if we never had Romo.

The media circus is 90% of the reason Jerry wanted to bring Johnny Football to town. He saw the $$$$$

Not sure Cleveland would put him on sale that cheap, but you never know. What I cannot figure out is the power struggle there and how he wraps up into it.

It is clear that Manziel was not Pettine's choice. He was Haslam's. I don't even know if he was preferred by Farmer. Just weird overall.

I wouldn't waste the brain cells in trying to figure out anything that's going on in Cleveland. After another lousy season, they'll likely just push the rest button anyway.

And then I anticipate the next regime trade Manziel away and bring in 'their guy'.

As for the price tag on Manziel, I wouldn't think that it would be too high at this point, all things considered. I might go as high as a 4th rounder if I had to, but I'd definitely start by offering a 6th.

I would consider him a possible option and a roll of the dice if I considered it at all, so I wouldn't want to make a significant investment.

I loved Johnny Football at A&M and I'll admit that when it he plays in the NFL I usually try to tune in but he CAN'T play here in Dallas. Can you imagine the circus that would attract? I've had enough about Krakens, monkeys and stealing underwear. Anytime Johnny Football had a drink at a Chilis, it would cause a global nuclear meltdown in the media with Ed Werder standing in front of grilled fajitas as he reports on the circumstances. No thanks.

This is coming from a guy who wanted the Cowboys to draft JF in the first place. I can admit I'm wrong.

Well, if Jerry gets Johnny I think we have a better shot at winning than going with Romo and him missing 10 games a year. All we can go by is what we think JERRY is thinking and he's thinking JF....

This is what I really want. In fact, I'm not sure if I want it more as a fan or just for Tony since he's taken so much garbage over the years. He deserves to go out on top!
