That's what I'm worried about. Jerry and Manziel and Hardy out getting crunk and throwing girls on piles of automatic weapons together. From a PR perspective, that just sounds inadvisable.

Remember what Jerry said when Manziel was nearly drafted "he'd make us relevant for the next 10 years." the man does not care, any publicity is good publicity.

Oh, I know. He literally doesn't care if it helps him market the team or keep the team in the spotlight. The staff will just have to work around it.

I guess we'll get to see if what Jerry says about Jason having a veto for any player on the team is true or not.

I'm not sure the Jason that he tries to be publically was happy with the Hardy signing. I think that veto power never existed or was revoked.

He can only see part of the field. He has one, maybe two good reads and if those reads are available, he starts to run.

I like JF too and admit I wanted the Cowboys to take him because I thought he was a playmaker.

But I question whether he has the discipline and the talent to succeed on the NFL level.

That's exactly what I want with Jason Garrett as our coach.

Bail on the scheme after a read or 2 and just run.

2016 - 3 games, breaks collarbone again
2017 - 4 games
2018 - 8 games
2019 - injured in preseason

See? Four years.

It is like Aikman with his back all over again.

Good analysis but here's the rub. We haven't developed receivers who excel at crossing routes and pick plays. Now if we do and get a QB who
can get the ball out in 2 seconds, we might have a chance. That's Patriots ball and we don't seem to have coaches who can coach it?

Good point. The OL can only block so many no matter how good they are. So Tony and the receivers need to recognize when to run hot routes and run them well. Tony can throw the slant routes now although he couldn't always. I think the problem is the receivers. They blitz and double Dez as well as taking away the inside routes AMAP. This is one reason I think he does better when they take him out of the X and move him. The other receivers have to take up the slack. Enter Beasley. He runs the routes well but I think Tony doesn't always go to him. As much as I love Witten, Beasley is much more of a threat particularly with those drag and slant routes. I'm not sure why Tony doesn't go to Beasley more.

Does not matter, obviously. He is more in love with the romance of Romo that the stark reality of Romo.

He already is showing he needs a ton of rest and can't even play on a short week. But, four or five more years. Yep. Not a damn debate.
His first bad game of 2015, and against probably the best defense in the NFL. Throw him out!

I'm truly amazed at the "what have you done for me lately comments" made by so called fans. The guy was the highest rated QB last year. He broke his collarbone in 8 places. I cannot think of 2 QB's tougher than Romo. Total disrespect. Embarrassing.

Tony is always looking for the big play. It's what you get with him. Witten is his favorite blanket. I don't think I have ever seen a QB since Farve that hates a check down more than Tony.

My take from this is those that expect the Cowboys to draft a qb in the first round are going to be disappointed

I'll add that..... those of us that want Garrett gone will be equally disappointed.

Jerry wanted Manziel, if Lynch or Goff are there I believe everyone in the front office will pull the trigger

Tarkenton, Tittle, Kapp, and Kilmer come to mind.
