Zeke and the OL was why they won 11 straight and 13 games.

And Dak was part of the reason they lost in the playoffs. That has been proven to be a trend with him.
Sure buddy, then why did Dak get rookie of the year over Zeke?

Duh I dont know!! LOL

Now the Oline? I got no problem with that. That Oline was incredible.

So Dak and his 300 yards and 3 TD's was why we lost eh? BWAAAA!!!

Zeke 125 yards and no TD's. Thanks again for playing!!! QBR of 103 mind you. :muttley:

Dont you ever get tired of being proven wrong? Must be used to it by now.

I listened to part of that presser yesterday. I actually felt sorry for Jerry because he sounded so old and weak voiced. He’s funny at times but not always for the right reasons.

Thankfully we have Will McClay and Big Mac as major draft contributors/influencers on Jerry and Giggles.
Not to worry... mini-me is standing in the wings. And the grandkid is in his twenties now.

Zeke pick was fine. Almost carried the team to an NFC Title game appearance.

Jaylon Smith in the 2nd was disaster.

Zeke was the right pick and idc what anyone says

he did everything that was asked of him and he was elite in doing so until his body wore down
The OL was Elite when Zeke started. Zeke was average to good and hit a brick wall really fast. Became a cement shoed low vision having JAG when Fredbeard left. Nothing Elite about Zeke ever.. he was running through huge holes whistling "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks his first two seasons (when he wasn't an idiot getting suspended).

Picking him was not the mistake. Succumbing to the holdout with a monster second contract was the mistake.

Wound up being one of the dumbest picks and biggest overall mistakes in franchise history. Horrible value and then double down on stupidity by extending him as the highest paid back in NFL history.
You can't be serious?? How is that the dumbest pick in franchise history? Not even close.

I love it the way you put it. LOL

100% accurate.

Murray had 1800 yards behind that line. Zeke was limited.

I just explained it. Horrible value, passed on Ramsey and then compounded it with extending his contract to the highest paid back in NFL history. Those two blunders made it the dumbest pick in franchise history.

Ok............ONE OF the dumbest picks in franchise history.

I've said it for many years. The Cowboys should have drafted Ramsey.

Jerry's comment makes me wonder how his line of thinking will impact what the Cowboys do at 26.
that's who I wanted. or trade up for the QBs (at the time, that was my mindset to go get a QB). now, with that said, everyone asks for taking a QB and my thought was to trade up and get one of the top two QBs, the cost woudn't be that high. keep in mind at the time we hadn't picked Dak yet. and so if not trade up, then ramsey was my pick. you don't draft a RB in top 10. I don't care how good they are.

You really have no clue about prior Cowboy history to say that. You must really hate Zeke. Not even Close. Let's start with just Barbie Carpenter.

He was part of the reason. He was also part of the reason we didnt win more the last 3 years. Zeke rarely showed up in big games or playoffs.

Sorry, ZEke wasnt Emmitt. Laughable comparison. Emmitt was also around 20, not 4.
That that don't know just spew crap.....cool. not your fault

Vastly different situations as there was no free agency. Plus, both Dorsett and Smith played in and won Super Bowls very early in their careers.
They also had Roger and Troy.....plus, Landry and JJ.

Considering how the Jonese tend to overreact to their "mistakes," we probably won't draft an RB until at least the fifth round.

There's no need to really. Why draft a RB high anyways as long as Pollard is on the team? They would just end up splitting carries, so the #2 or #3 draft pick gets what 10-15 carries a game? Would kind of be pointless. Especially not the #1 or #2 picks.

Selecting one at #26 is not nearly as bad as #4, mainly because of the $ if you don't have a guy. Big difference.

If Pollard leaves next year I could see them grabbing one in the 3rd or 4th along with another FA addition.

Did they resign Barbie to the highest LB deal in NFL history? Its the combo of the blunder that makes it one of the worst. And to pass on Ramsey a premium position all pro.

So dispute it if you can. You cant? What playoff games did Zeke come up huge in?

Last 3 playoff games he had 20-30 yards in each and no TD's.

IN Zeke's first playoff game againts GB he had 125 yards rushing, -2 yards receiving and 0 TD's.

Rams playoff game he had He had 20 carries for 47 yards and 1 TD for a 2.4 ypc average. Horrible.

So here ya go. This was Zeke's ONLY great playoff game was against Seattle. He had 169 combined yards and 1 TD.

4 complete sinkers, one solid game and one great game in 6 playoff games. He was NOT a big game RB. Just the opposite.

Amazing how so many cant see the common sense of it. I think most are Zeke apologists that dont want to see Pollard shine. So they want some stud to come in from day 1 and take his carries.
