JJ just realizing his way is not working so it is a good step maybe too it is late but it is a start
As for Zeke is he still narrowing his choices where he wants to go?
Zeke is deciding between the XFL and USFL.

Different time and the league is different.

It was a great pick then but it was never the smart pick long term. Even then.

But..

A lot of people didn’t like Ramsey because he played more safety than corner and didn’t have a lot of picks.
I don’t think Ramsey was the right pick for different reasons than most.

Yeah I didn't have an issue with the selection they needed an impact player that could be plug and play. When you say you wanted a QB which one did you want Wentz, Goff, or Lynch. I guess it worked out the Cowboys got the best QB in that draft class anyway and either the best or 2nd best RB.
Either Goff or Wentz. But if Lynch was available in the 2nd I would have been ok at the time.
yeah in hindsight Dak was the best. But as I said, Wentz May have been better in the long run with another team.

Honestly I’m still glad we didn’t take Ramsey. That guy has been a locker room disaster and is on his third team already. You look at the 2016 first round and there are tons of busts. Tunsil and Buckner were probably the best picks and both those dudes were traded.
Yeah, Ramsey seems like a real headache for every team he plays for. The talent is there but he seems like way more trouble than he is worth. He has been traded multiple times.

I had no problem with the Zeke pick and still don't. The pick that made me mad in that draft was when we passed on Chris Jones in the 2nd for Jaylon Smith. Picking a guy that was severely injured in the 2nd round was just plain stupid.
In hindsight it looks horrible.

I listened to part of that presser yesterday. I actually felt sorry for Jerry because he sounded so old and weak voiced. He’s funny at times but not always for the right reasons.

Thankfully we have Will McClay and Big Mac as major draft contributors/influencers on Jerry and Giggles.
At least he knows he's not messing up as much as his fellow Dallas owner Mark Cuban...he can rest his hat on that. But yeah man he's definitely sounding his age

Felt sorry for him? He made his bed. Any failure he feels is 100% all on him.

It was always Bosa Tunsil or Buckner as the best options. Top 5 if you’re not drafting QB, follow planet theory.

Pick didn't bother me overpaying him bothered me
Well, the Cowboys screwed themselves by drafting Zeke. Had they drafted Ramsey, they could have drafted Henry in the 2nd. Instead they got Jaylon Smith.

Ramsey & Henry >>>>>>>>>> Zeke & Jaylon

Wentz was such a poor locker room guy I just can't see that having worked out.

I remember the days I proudly said that. Not any more.

Ah, memories.
I don't mind saying that and still believes it holds true. Of course the bar is lowering than it was a few years ago. Wentz is a free agent, Goff is on his 2nd team. Goff did have a good year last year and may get himself back into the conversation.

There is nothing better than comparing a TB in today's NFL to guys who played 3, 4 and 5 decades ago.
Jerry had no problem with the high mileage placed on Zeke during the early years.......no problem at all. With some of the stuff JJ says......karma may not ever let him sniff another SB.
