Jerry Loves Cowher?

I actually met Cowher at a real charity event here in New York the year he retired and he was a nice guy. He let me wear his Super Bowl ring which was a beautiful piece of jewelry. I was in shock at how buff Cowher was. I know he's a former player but I wasn't expecting him to be as muscular. I told him we would love to have him as our HC. He just grinned a huge grin and said "hey you never know, we'll see, we'll see." But the body language and smile was not good. It was one of those, I hate the Cowboys/I'll never work for Jerry Jones looks. But he was still very polite.

Well, I thought he was on TV last year and said something that implied he would never work for Jerry Jones.

I tend to agree. I could never see Jones and Cowher getting along.

Parcells said the same thing in a book though to be fair.

I think there is zero percent cowher would even give jerry an interview let alone accept the job however.

His personality and background does not fit in with the Dallas attitude, particularly the jones family's attitude.

Cowher came up with marty schottenheimer. Very blue collar, fundamentally sound disciplined football. In order to play that way the whole setup has to be with one functioning voice. One leader. Jerry is never going to go on his radio show and just repeat what the head coach says the day before like he did early on with parcells.

Its a personality clash I dont think would ever even come close to working.

Cowher lives in NC and looks like the Panthers are going to grossly under achieve this year. It is not John Fox fault that he is stuck with Delhomme for a QB, but we all know who will pay the price for it. Just connect the dots here.

God, Let this be true.

We need the Chin!!!!

The Chin can choose his gig. Something tells me he'd rather stay retired than work for Jerry.

Gee I never put that 2 and 2 together and got my 4 until recently and I started reading all these stories about how he likes his liquor. I guess I just never paid attention.

Maybe we can stage an intervention and have him packed off to Betty Ford or Promises around draft time....that could only be good for Cowboys Nation.

We need to do something about Jerry. He was drinking when him and Jimmy ended their relationship. You think he would have learned from that, but he didn't.

But seriously, my cat and I went on vacation and we bumped into a friend of my cat who is best friends with my cat cousin, who's very close to my cat sister and my cat sister is married to this mixed cat, but the mixed cat is best friends with Jerry Jones wifes cat, Fefe....

To make a long story short, it got back to my cat that JJ was playing darts one day with potential coaches as targets and it landed on Gruden, therefore since my cat can type (yeah very smart cat) he told me. So their you have it Gruden is the next coach of the Cowboys....

Sticky this thread, mark my words and my cat words.....Gruden 2010 as coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

A friend of my mother's friend once told me... Yeah yeah.

Jerry Jones is his own worst enemy because he refuses to hire a GM and allow him to pick a good head coach.

Is Jerry an alcoholic? He's ALWAYS loaded.

He is in the War Room on draft day and on most days he hires head coaches.

I agree with your Mr. Corleone. The Chin and Jerry?

Jerry does need to learn from his drinking, I am only 28 and I know not to make big decisions about the future of my football team when I am drinking whiskey.

The last time he got loaded, and started running off at the mouth, he ran Jimmy out of town. Maybe this is Karma, and will work in reverse this time and bring us a real coach.

:starspin

And now, a moment from our hallowed history:

Jerra was also drinking when he took Jimma out to eat Mexican food where the Dallas Moring News photographer snapped their pichure. "Hey, we don't need this!" Jimma exclaimed. "It's OK it's a done deal," said a smiling Jerra.

When I saw the pichure of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys having dinner (at Landry's favorite Mexican place) with the finest football coach in the land, my football heart went pitter-patter.

Cowher is 1000 times better than Wade, but Cowher lost a lot, I mean a lot of home playoff games.

His 1 SB was gift wrapped by the refs.
