That is not true.
Dallas currently has the 4th highest spend at QB (and it would be 3rd when WAS deals or extends Cousins) in the NFL for 2017.
That is not average.
yes but they are the only team with 2 QB's who are starter caliber qb's
Aside from brady, and rodgers, dallas has 2 of the best qb's in the nfl right now. it is a unique situation.

Phil would have started bradford, but by keeping him they got a chance to unload him for value picks.
For dallas to not get value picks for romo is pretty bad.

Keep him and start him, see how it goes, and if better option opens up.

You need to check his history. lol
Well, I've not been a member here all that long myself, but was fighting through the turbulence of "the firing nerve" thread and started liking him, then on a different thread i believe ,there was probably 3-4 arrayed against @KJJ and he was holding his own, I feel he 'won' due to attrition (wore them out) but the screamer was when his opponents broke out his excuse for when he had a period of absence on the forum due to a failed prediction: "he was to busy tooling his Ferrari around Malibu to post",,, needless to say friend, I Christen that solid gold:thumbup::lmao:

Jerry doesn't get a starting policy.
In fact Jerry doesn't get to run much of anything (except his mouth)anymore or else we'd have had Johnny Manziel here.
You are naive as can be.
Romo's teary-eyed confession was permanent.
If Dallas was going to let Romo ever compete it would have been last year versus sending a rookie into playoff games.
By all accounts Romo looked better in practice and it didn't matter.

Jerry has billions of reasons to go with Dak. Literally.
And he's not a dumb business man.

Romo is not going to wear the star in a game ever again.
If that truly troubles you there will be another team you can follow.
But the reality if you believe Tony is going to be back, go out and back his jersey. Invent 200 bucks in this theory.

The list of things Jerry has said that came out to be exactly the opposite in the last 24 months is staggering.
That is a ton of wishful thinking from someone that apparently knows nothing about the Dallas Cowboys and it's daily operations. The policy is the policy and it's been the policy for quite some time. Your delusions of what will be will come crashing down the closer we get to OTAs and training camp. It would be better for you to except it now, Romo is not going anywhere. Why you mad?

that is how it should be, Tony with dak on the sideline would try much harder to be the best he can be, same for Dak with tony on sideline.
competition is good, for years tony had none and it did affect his play and preparation.

However the cowboys will do the standard thing, which is get rid of tony, anything else would be innovative and buck traditional NFL methods.
They wont do that.

A fella can dream. You'll give me that, won't you?

good grief you guys are gullible.
this is nothing but headline pron.
jerry and romo have an agreement to do right by each other.
that means there will absolutely be a parting of ways because romo wants to PLAY next year not watch.

there is zero chance romo comes to camp to be a back up.
and there is zero reason the team does anything to mess up what it has with dak as the NFLs best value.

jerry just stated he expects a massive improvement from Dak in year 2.

jerry is going to try to force denver or houston or someone romo likes to give up draft picks.
if he can't get that he will release him with romo understanding he has agreed to avoid NFCE teams and maybe even a couple other key NFC squads.

That is my thinking as well my friend..............the "do good rule" as Jerry said means that he is not going to hold Romo hostage and force him to backup Dak nor is he going to trade Romo to some NFL wasteland like Cleveland. He is going to do go by Romo by getting Romo onto a fairly good team, wont be the Patriots, but it will be a decent team with decent surrounding talents and not some trash team. Obviously Jerry would like to get a pick for Romo, but if nobody offers up a pick then Romo will be set free like the Colts did with Peyton.

Accordingly, Romo is going to "do good by the team" and will not sign with a rival squad. So that probably rules out an NFC team, meaning there will be no chance Dallas has to play against Romo in the playoffs. That is what this do good by stuff really means.

And for all of those fans saying they are not going to give Romo away and would force him to stay, well Jerry really doesn't care about your opinion. Its his team, his money, and his relationship with Romo and what you would or would not do doesn't mean a dam thing.

Well Stephan may be the one making the decision not jerry, and JG has said whatever is best for the team.
you may be right, but we will find out soon I guess.

Nope...Stephen said at the combine that only Jerry would be making final decisions WITH Tony Romo. Jerry said that
all of the parameters and eventual outcomes have been discussed with Tony. I suspect there will be a resolution within
2 to 3 weeks, maybe less. The "DoRight" rule is in full effect at the Star.

Just so everyone knows what Jerry means by the "DoRight" Rule...Tony will do right by the Cowboys in finding
a new situation (Not choosing a team in the division) and Jerry will do right by Tony by making way for him to make his best choice and decision.
Jerry & Tony are family don't you know.
