I was all aboard for the signing initially, the potential money is one thing, but refusing to work out is really rubbing the wrong way.

Thank god sensible Jerry came to the table. This makes no sense for this team right now. Unless OBJ can stop the run or pass.

He will demand a safety, which will leave the box less capable. You might not stop the run but he’ll help it.

Well, that’s the big question. I’m not a fan I’m just saying what is capable of doing
Oh yeah. Perfect world 2 less knee surgeries, we would be all over it. That’s why I’m glad sensible Jerry showed up. As he is right now, he’s not demanding any special coverage. Hence, not a good deal for us.

Yeah the whole picture is starting to come into focus now, and it seems OBJ isn't ready yet. Not working out and just the willingness to wait this long doesn't add up at all. Someone high profile who is healthy and eager to contribute to a team for a superbowl is going to be with a team by now.

We are sitting here with 5 weeks left in the season, and OBJ is still in negotiation mode. Looks more and more like his priorities are around money. And I don't say that as a knock on the guy, money is the reason most of us go to work everyday. But with such little time go learn this offense, create chemistry with teammates and coaches, get on the same page as the team doctors, etc I just dont know the juice is worth the squeeze anymore.

He wants too much money. He’s gonna have to wait until he can work out for teams and that will be next season most likely.

Jerry is simply saying what he thinks we want to hear.

Flashy WR's are like heroin to Jerry Jones. Whether OBJ can do anything for us doesn't matter, Jerry will sign him for the publicity.

As Gallup continues to impress and show improved health, Lamb is playing like a franchisee WR1...and Washington may soon be back...and we have Brown who can ball when asked to.....there is no reason to sign OBJ if there are questions about health. For Odell, if he isn't healthy there is no reason for him to sign anywhere either and showcase himself when healthy in the off season

Boom!!! This is the money quote.
If Beckham can't play this season then why sign him now? Activate Washington and get focused on making a Playoff run. If the Cowboys feel they need a WR get one in the offseason during FA or the draft.

Here's an idea...get Pollard an extension now over signing Beckham.

Washington has had the longest broken foot recovery that I've ever seen....I broke mine at his age and was playing basketball in a month....shouldn't have been....but did. Of course back in 1987 Reebok hightops had enough padded leather in them to cover a sofa.
