I dont think so. I think it just means OBJ has to accept verbiage in the contract that protects the team against injuries since he wont work out. If not. Buh bye.
Hmm, interesting take. I like the idea of that approach.

Signing anyone who is injured and not working out to a multi year guaranteed contract would be beyond stupid.

One of the most sensible things I've heard Jerry say in a while.
When Jerry is coherent or semi-coherent, it's because he is repeating what someone else said (probably Stephen).

OBJ is not playing this year. Thare are only five games left and he's not ready. Hence, he's not coming to Dallas.

Jerry said, if he's not paying now, then he's not a Cowboy.

The remaining regular season games probably don't matter. It's the playoff's when winning is critical.
- Unlikely to pass the Eagles.
- There are now 3 wildcard spots available (started in 2021).

There's no way I sign Odell without fully knowing if he can even be productive.

It's too risky and he's not needed anyways.
I don’t see how any team could unless it was very cheap
if he can’t help this season then there’s no reason to sign him now
See what the draft brings you before paying big money to a 30 year old with 3 knee surgeries

Is this how Jerry is “being uncomfortable” with OBJ? He’s trying to drive the price down.

I say don’t sign him at all, but they sure are recruiting him hard for someone who has “health concerns.”
This is Jerry saying he’s not healthy. We’re trying to win now.

Not getting OBJ signed now would be so deflating to the locker room that I doubt they make the playoffs.

We pretty much have to do it now to save the season.

Gallup is just starting to come back to any sense of his former self and he is a lot farther along than Odell. I just wouldn't sign him

OBJ wants a lot of money even though his current health and ability to to stay healthy are huge unknowns. Apparently Jerry was sober for this interview.

You mean the same thing we did with Michael Gallup?
Big difference, he was rehabbing at our facility with our eyeballs watching that rehab. Apples to Water Buffaloes. OBJ has torn his ACL twice and is on the wrong side of 30.
