I don’t think this is true. Giving Rush $250k bonus would be s private matter. Kinda like a cash tip.
I would imagine that would have to be against the CBA, especially for active players.

If you could legally do what you stated then they would just sign players for cheap cap hits and do these private matter/cash tip deals.

While I agree with you posting that in relation to Rush, it is not the same comparison because that wasn't necessarily (just) about the bonus. Those 9 yards by Evans gave him his 11th straight 1,000 yard season, tying Jerry Rice for the all-time record (probably just as important, if not more so for Evans). He also became the first receiver in NFL history to have 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first 11 years (though he was the first to have done it 10 anyway). Pretty sure that is what his teammates were celebrating.

Honestly, it is kind of funny that the post centered on the bonus over the all-time record (IMHO).

That being said, it was a completely bush move by Jerry either way.

Dak should pony up the 250. Chump change for him
Can we get back to Jerry on this? Dak is already blamed for everything. Dak drank tea yesterday, can he just enjoy that?
