Another example of why the Cowboys media relations needs to steer him away frm teh microphone. Especially after a humiliating loss.

Jerry's problem is he always thinks he is smarter than everyone else.

That includes fans, players, coaches, NFL executives, etc.

Someone that is incapable of self-reflection is simply delusional or a charlatan.
Look at what he's accomplished since 1989. From a business and marketing standpoint he is smarter than everyone else and that's what makes him think he can also do it on the football side but he just refuses to cut his losses and step down.

He then added: they messed up my sandwich in the lunch line. Mah nurse stole my toothbrush. I pooped my pants 10 minutes ago and it’s starting to itch. Ahhhhhhh!

This is further proof that it’s about Jerry and not what’s best for the team.

If Jerry puts curtains up, it’s a sign that he made a mistake. And Jerry NEVER likes to admit mistakes.

The fact he’s now arguing that our coaches should now track where the sun will be during our games just shows how far out of touch he is.

I know this is a small thing but does he really really think they only know where the sun will be a year in advance? Pretty sure I could look up where it will be in 5, 10, 100, or 1000 years at a specific time and location.
What Jerry fails to understand is there is no advantage to be had with letting the sun in from the side.

It really doesn't matter if they know the location of the sun for every game in advance or not.

The problem is that you cannot control the situations that may arise regardless of which side of the field you are on or even which direction the players are facing at the snap because players end up having look both directions on every single play.

I have never understood the logic behind Jerry's obsession with keeping the curtains open because it does not matter which side you are facing, it can hurt BOTH teams on every play.

For example, on offense, if the other team's defense is facing the sun, then that means any receivers looking back to catch balls will be fighting it. If the Cowboys offense is facing the sun then the quarterback is more likely to not see defenders, especially if their jerseys are any shade of red, brown or orange.

On defense, if the sun is in the Cowboys defender's eyes, they cannot react quickly on running plays or passes because they will have to take an extra moment to confirm what they think they see.

It's a stupid decision driven by Jerry's flawed logic of thinking it is somehow an advantage.

Jerry Jones said:
“By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”
The Sun has been burning for 4.5 billion years.

Only a narcissist would spin his own nonsense of having the stadium's orientation built incorrectly in his favor.

To prevent the Sun's glare from interfering with any players' eyesight, the vast majority of football fields are oriented north-south instead of east-west.[21]However, AT&T Stadium was built with the field oriented east-west and with large windows on the western side.[22] During afternoon games, this design allows sunlight to come into the stadium at an angle that can interfere with players' vision; some players have complained about this problem.[22]

The lead architect on the design team at HKS Architects for the project was Bryan Trubey, who has stated that the overarching concept for the stadium was "...that this should not be just a stadium, but should almost be built like a civic structure."

In other words Jethro didn’t care. He was more worried about the overall revenue this venue generated than any disadvantage of playing conditions.

A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”

Why not put up curtains over the windows?

Jerry: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?

“Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.

“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

Maybe Jerry should start charging fans for tours during our halftime adjustments.

Hey, at least he's consistent. He doesn't see a problem & when he deems something as good, it doesn't matter what the evidence is to the contrary.

There are so many things wrong with Jerry running the franchise. His low football IQ, the nepotism and cronyism, his ego, etc.

This is such an easy fix. I have no idea why he fights this like he does.

If you have something in your home stadium that can even one time create a disadvantage for your own team, regardless of its effect on opposing teams, you get rid of it. You do not beat yourself. This is the dumbest of so many dumb Jerry issues.

Best part?

They have blinds already on many of the windows. He just refuses to have them closed in late afternoon games.
