He obviously believes it’s an advantage. He thinks he’s pulled off a home field advantage like Tex did at Texas Stadium placing opposing teams in Sun. He just won’t accept it also creates a potential hindrance for us as well.
Maybe the sun shining onto the field, illuminates part of the field he likes to look at from his booth.

A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”

Why not put up curtains over the windows?

Jerry: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?

“Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.

“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun,but Mama that's where the fun is.

I know this is a small thing but does he really really think they only know where the sun will be a year in advance? Pretty sure I could look up where it will be in 5, 10, 100, or 1000 years at a specific time and location.
I wouldn't say that's a small thing.

Look at what he's accomplished since 1989. From a business and marketing standpoint he is smarter than everyone else and that's what makes him think he can also do it on the football side but he just refuses to cut his losses and step down.
If Jerry was as smart as you claim then he would have fired his GM. In fact, he never would have been the GM.

Jerry Jones is not smart. Jerry Jones is ruthless. He made his money by going where previous owners had the respect not to go. His predatory pricing with very limited single game tickets drove the "Joe Fan" families out of the stadium in favor of corporate packages.

I remember NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle claiming that NFL football would never be placed on pay television, noting that teams were a partnership effort between the NFL franchises and the communities they claimed to represent. Jerry played as major role in reversing that promise.

The original intent of franchise owners was not to make money directly but to give positive PR to their primary businesses by operating a team that was financed, in part, by local government funded infrastructure. This enhanced their company's reputation and popularity with their communities. That is how they profited from owning NFL teams.

This is also why every team's name begins with the community they represent

This is why you have the familiar names of Craft and Hunt among some. The NFL was even a tax-free entity until just recently or it may still.

Jerry Jones made his billions and helped other owners to do the same by severing the long established relationship between NFL teams and their communities. The other owners used their influence and rewarded Jerry by putting him in the HOF.
