Some of this is common sense. If you have a hairline fracture in a bone, then, by definition, the bone isn't as strong as it was before the fracture, at least until it heals. So the fracture makes the bone more susceptible to further damage than it was pre-injury.

If it is a hairline fracture if they leave it alone, it will heal and get stronger much faster than if he plays on it and causes further damage. The game or two that he would miss isn't worth damaging Dez' entire career. This should be a no brainer move.

I guess some other players better get ready to spread around Dez's 5 targets per game.

Dak will get a test without his $70 million dollar decoy.

I hope u r right... Last year, NO wideout stepped up and became a reliable target. Granted-- there is a better QB behind center this year, but Beasley and Williams disappeared last year without the room they got to operate in when Dez was on the field

I now have greater understanding of why Jay Ratliff went off on him.

I can't help but recall how he pushed Larry Allen into playing when his ankle wasn't fully healed yet. He was never quite the same after that. Maybe Ratliff wasn't as bad off as Larry was back then but more often than not, a player knows better than anyone if he's not ready yet. He definitely wasn't adverse to playing for the Bears shortly thereafter, though. Go figure.

I'm more concerned with the following 3 games than I am with SF.

Dez has been not that great before he was hurt, and now jerry wants him to play hurt ??
And against SF ??
I could understand if it was cin or GB, but SF ?

Might as well save dez for after the bye.
Aside from butler who else do we have that can play WR ??
If butler or twill get hurt, who is up next ? ?

Jerry's brain is just checking out

By next year he'll be saying he can go five innings but after that I'm pulling him

How do you "rehab" a cracked bone??? You don't. You simply let it heal. I guess they can use some type of electrical stimulation, but I'm not sure that's even used on bone injuries.

Dez should have made Jerry go run routes right after his hip surgery last year!! Now I would pay to see that!!!

Put some JB Weld on it and then cover it with electrical tape. Hey, its how I fixed the broken control arm on my car. Yeah, you don't want to pull up next to me on the interstate, but until it breaks again it drives straight as an arrow.

I don't know what the heck Jerry is doing.

Does he believe the things he is mumbling to the press? Everybody knows Dez is out for some number of games (likely 3-4).

what is it that has been said here before, oh yeah, make sure the 49ers have to prepare for him,,,

;)
