Yeah....we would lose or be losing. He's not up and talking wheather it's calmly or aggressive, he could have been our spark plug, instead he was just a nice pass rusher, who got a bunch of sacks.

That's cool, he's hof material. But he could have done more and not just accept the fact we lost or were losing

None of this is true but you know what, it's your story, you tell it.

For my part, I wish DWare all the good fortune in the world. I know that the guy played his hart out for us and I enjoyed the hell out of watching him play football on Sundays. For a good while there, he was about all there was to enjoy about this team.

He always did it right, he never represented the Star poorly, so far as I can recall. He was as generous a dude as I can remember in the NFL.

If it's time for DWare to move on, then so be it. I hope he gets picked up by a team who has a chance to win a championship. Lord knows, he never got the chance to win one here in Dallas.

Hey I agree...I never said he wasn't a great player for us, don't get it twisted.

I wish him the best as well, I just took exception to the the..he never had a chance...as if he was just this innocent puppy.

I agree he never got the chance, sounds better, than he never had a chance.

Nothing is twisted. You are arguing a point that you have no bases for arguing IMO. He never got the chance and he never had the chance. It's as simple as that.

You have yet to tell my why he never had a chance, and how he was never part of the problem.

I have explained both of these things to you. You just don't agree. Nothing to be gained by repeating it. You don't agree. That's fine.

Over the past 5 years, us fans here at CZ chooses a player to pile on, this year it's Ware. So tell me, getting rid of all these players over the past 5 years that we thought were trouble, how has it helped the outcome every year?

I disagree that he never had a chance. If you want to say he never played in a championship game that is one thing, but he had a chance. If they played better against NYG in 2009, maybe they are ones that win the Super Bowl. He doesn't deserve to go any more than anybody on the Cowboys.

That game was lost on offense. The chance to win it was there. We just didn't execute. If you want to say that he could played better, that's fine but in reality, the defense played well enough to win. The Offense failed there. However, lets just say that had he did more, they could have won. Lets go ahead and say that's the case. If so, that still does not put them in a championship game.

I'd really like to agree with you. His contract situation needs addressed however and that might mean his future playing days will be with another team.

I hear you - I just think in this case I give it a shot. The upside is good, and while I haven't done all the cap numbers - you don't have anyone around to replace him, so that lessens the savings. Just makes the 50 TEs we've drafted even more frustrating. As bad as our D was last year, I'm think a starting line of Selvie, Hayden, I assume Crawford and...well whomever. Just hope the boys start drafting and keep drafting linemen.

On the flip side, except for WR Jimmy Smith many moons ago, have any Cowboy players we let get away via FA done anything? I can't think of many. Actually, I can't think of any.

We tend to hold on to players too long. I like Ware as a player and think he has done a tremendous job while here. Unfortunately, his play has slid fast and his pay is ridiculously high now. It is time to move on from him. Can he still play? Who knows? Maybe he will be extra-motivated after he gets cut. Maybe a team will pay him a lot less and rest him more. Dallas can't afford that luxury at this time, not when you are paying him $12M base. Ware isn't much more than a injury-prone, part-time player who can't practice these days. Restructuring (turning his base salary into bonus money to spread out the cap hit) Ware is insane.

If Ware refuses a pay cut and gets released, I would look to the GB game this past season as the straw that broke the camel's back. JJ was really upset after the game and commented on how he was watching Ware a lot out there doing absolutely nothing against a 4th rd rookie with no help.
