We have to stop supporting the the Cowboys. No more buying merchandise, supporting advertisers, and kissing Jerry’s booty when he is at a public event like he is a rock star. The Joneses only see green. So that is how you get them.
Someone else here on CZ said it first, but it's a perfect sentiment for me

I just follow the team now.

I don't support the team in any financial way other than watching the games from my couch (sometimes).

I dont even pay for cable anymore. I stream every game. I refuse to give Jerry and his family any more of my hard earned money.

Nah my honest opinion is this board is tripping.

How many fans here watch the 1 hour full press conference rather than ESPN highlights of Jerry saying ambiguity - I am thinking 20 percent at MOST.

If you sit down and watch what they are saying between the lines it’s the elephant in the room is post- season success. Staff and players know it.

What’s the point of paying this group if the flop again - Dak is included here. I am a massive fan of this wait and see approach with the FO not bending over and caving to Dak until he gets something done.

Dak doesn’t want to be a Cardinal, Raider or Bronco - his situation will be worse and overall NFL legacy will suffer. Our leverage is we are the Dallas Cowboys who are 36-12 in the last 3 years with 5+ of those wins without Dak and 8-8 without him for a whole year

Jerry has once again told the fan base he cares about relevance, ticket sales, and primetime games.

Where is the brigade of his defenders telling us "crazy unappreciative" fans that Jerry wants to win?
They just got the rug pulled out . from under them.
And hey I can't blame them for wanting to believe just like kids want to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

But in the end like the holidays the true meaning is gone it's all about the business and the money.

Somewhere along the line after the third super bowl Jerry no longer got the rush from the Lombardi trophy.

The rush and sense of accomplishment came from taking the franchise to the Pinnacle of wealth in sports we can't change where his head is at and what makes him happy it's his toy and he's going to play with it the way he wants and use it in the way that makes him happy.

We are just the pawns and the peasants that feed his hobby and he will tell us whatever he thinks we want to hear to continue perpetuating his wealth sure he'd like to win if all the stars aligned and it was The perfect Storm but he's not willing to pay the price of some bad seasons after really going all in and maybe losing a little profit for a while he just can't stomach it

How did he go so fast from team performance to ticket sales? That was impressive
It was in response to fans being apathetic. I don't doubt that sales / valuation etc are bigger drivers for him than they should be, but in this context he was just pointing out that fans are still in it.

I decided not to get the NFL package. I will only watch network games this season. I won’t be betting on games either. I will be doing other things on Sunday not involving football. Have not done that in 40 years.

It's actually pretty nice. Started doing this a couple of years back, though it was also just driven by life circumstances.

I really enjoy football. But committing 3.5 hours every Sunday for 17 weekends to the NFL is a lot.

I figure we got what?
2 years before he begins drooling on himself?

I just wish everybody in the media would begin drilling this guy with how.much of an epic failure he's been. Every time he or Stephen open their mouths they should get hammered with total embarrassment.
So bitter. Don’t wish death on anyone. It’s just a game.

Agree for the most part.

I think Jerry desperately WANTS to win, but it’s not going to be at the expense of risking bad seasons down the line, per Stephen.

They try to middle two situations and end up short. Their big play/hope is luck, or for that oblong ball to bounce in their favor for three more playoff games in a row.

Now that Jerry realizes he isn’t going to win another SB, he tries to tell everyone about what he HAS done, which is make his family a bunch of money while holding the rest of us hostage for 30 years while on his ego trip.

Jerry’s quote is telling…winning isn’t important, it is remaining relevant in the court of public opinion…just chasing headlines, not championships.

What a narcissist…

Unless you're trying to get your kids involved and interested in the team, or unless your selling them to some dummy at a profit

WTH are you doing still buying season tickets. It only encourages quotes like that and more losing

Why do you keep saying this when he's gone out of his way to prove it's not true?
Well IMO Jerry does want to win, most people do, and jerry really wants to win.
Jerry has tunnel vision and draws the wrong conclusions about things, and he thinks it's all about building a good roster.

He doesnt see himself as part of the problem. He doesnt understand the whole culture thing at all. He also thinks
any one of 500 coaches can win with a good roster.

He has built some good rosters, but with poor culture, and not so good HC, they have all failed.

Jerry just isnt smart enough to get the right HC, and add the right FA, at the right time, and have a very good defense all at the same time.

Jerry has said many times, just get in the playoffs, and you can get lucky and hot and go all the way, which tells me he just doesnt understand.

Now what he has done and not done this year, does seem like he isnt trying to win. So I dont know what to say about this year lol except
again he just isnt that smart.
