Twitter: Jerry on Hilton and OBJ

The veteran experience plus the immediate help if a better idea. OBJ needs an entire new leg and we're not sure when he can even start working out. The whole visiting thing was an attempt to bloat a signing.

I believe the Cowboys signed Hilton, a position not as needy as CB, because the Cowboys think the offense will need to score more points with the defense as banged up as it is. I hope we don't see a return to the 40 passes per game strategy, but it could be the Cowboys worry the backup CBs are going to get torched and the Cowboys need to prepare for some shootouts.

Unfortunately the miss on some piece seems to occur more often than not with the Jones.

That’s debatable but I do get the sentiment. I’m not a big fan of the Jones’s and definitely not a defender of their actions. But there has been little tidbits here and there about there was more to the story. If that’s true, it’s funny how we used to bring in troubled players but wouldn’t tolerate whatever was going on behind the scenes with Cooper.

By the way, I’m sure your glad they didn’t resign Gregory.

The signing of Hilton puts an end of any hope of signing OBJ. He’s not going to be ready to play this season and refuses to workout for anyone. He said recently he sees no point in playing during the regular season. He wants someone to sign him for the playoffs which likely won’t happen.

This defense is a lot better when the team has a lead and teams need to pass the ball in order to keep up.
