It's still not clear why they think they need another WR so badly. Especially, when we are banged up at other positions. Who isn't cutting it at the WR position? Are there maturity issues in the WR room?

That’s debatable but I do get the sentiment. I’m not a big fan of the Jones’s and definitely not a defender of their actions. But there has been little tidbits here and there about there was more to the story. If that’s true, it’s funny how we used to bring in troubled players but wouldn’t tolerate whatever was going on behind the scenes with Cooper.

By the way, I’m sure your glad they didn’t resign Gregory.

Yea, I’ll never know the full story but WRs can be divas. Teams around the league make it work with their diva WRs.

After the post-Beckham visit and the circumstances surrounding it, I've leaned more towards moving on and away from Beckham.

- Even at age 30 now, I could understand why his speed/movement skills, skill set and competitive alpha male mentality is gonna be strikingly tempting to acquire him.
but I also don't want the self-centered diva drama and headaches I really believe he would give us.

- Plus i still have major concerns about his durability.
And did not Jerry make mentioned of ...." Availability "

- Do/Will the pluses outweigh the Minuses ?
- I had skeptics that led me to believe we should safeguard ourselves with escape clauses incentives and opt outs, vs his potential diva behavior
and locker room disruptions as well as available games played.

" i don't feel the need to play in the regular season " ..- Beckham.
If that's not suitable, then we need to move on to Plan B in the offseason.
And i do believe we'll address the WR in the NFL Draft again.

They should've just brought Cole Beasley back.

At least he might stay healthy.
...might of been ok getting him back. But Hilton move is great.

He will spread the field with his speed, freeing up the middle ground. All this in offense favor.

The signing of Hilton puts an end of any hope of signing OBJ. He’s not going to be ready to play this season and refuses to workout for anyone. He said recently he sees no point in playing during the regular season. He wants someone to sign him for the playoffs which likely won’t happen.

Yup, and his comments are such that I hope nobody signs him. Let him play in the USFL or the CFL. He wants to have that attitude, let him prove himself in one of those leagues.

I don’t think anyone will sign him. Buffalo is expected to sign Cole Beasley which was another potential landing spot for OBJ. You can’t sign a receiver strictly for the playoffs who hasn’t played since last year and is coming off an ACL and refuses to workout. It takes time for a QB and receiver to build some chemistry. It’s do or die in postseason and if a QB and receiver aren’t on the same page that could lead to a disaster.

All of this nonsense is Jerry admitting he was wrong on Cooper without saying it.

Hoping Hilton can help but he won’t provide near the impact Cooper would if he was here.
Coop has had a good year in Cleveland, but he is still having nagging injury issues.

I can't picture a scenario where TY Hilton has an impact. He hasn't played in over a year and it's a completely new system. He barely made an impact in Indy his last few years.

This is just a case of JJ trying to make a statement signing a recognizable player once it was clear the OBJ was not signing here.

Taking away targets from any of our top 3 WR's would be stupid.

Exactly, and his idiotic comments may have killed his NFL career. It's why I'm saying that, if he's smart, he will immediately try out for a team from the USFL or CFL to show that he can still play.

He’s not about to risk his body trying out for a USFL or CFL team. He has no interest playing there. He’s looking for a big money deal. Lol If he was smart and healthy he would’ve worked out for the Cowboys when they brought him in. Jerry was seriously interested in signing him.

Why pay an aging old WR money when drafts have talent all throughout the first three rounds? You can have impact players for cheap in the 2nd round... And we're in a cap crunch as is. Makes no sense

We will be able to LESS afford Odell in the off-season…at least if we want to franchise Pollard and do an extension for Diggs and/or Lamb. If I was going to swing for the fences and sign one high priced FA not currently on our roster it would be DT Payne.

The continued search to replace Amari Cooper.
Dude should be on this team but our QB has thin skin.

Yes, I believe the "black Kirk Cousins" comment happened.
The last few years have taught those who pay attention that
once a story is denied and buried, the odds are good that it was actually true.
Thing is, I think it actually motivated Cousins. He's having a great year...lol

This defense is a lot better when the team has a lead and teams need to pass the ball in order to keep up.
Agreed and unfortunately you cannot get that in the playoffs these days. We need some attitude in our defense for all occasions. I don't know what they are putting in the water in SF but that D is on a mission.

I kinda believe that it happened. The parting of ways has always seemed personal versus economical. Coop probably did take shots at Prescott in the locker room.
