under what context though? If anyone expect the old (figuratively) Hilton then yes you’ll be disappointed. If you view as a depth move for a 3rd/4th receiver to come in provide depth and play inside and outside I think he can still have some moments here as a depth piece

Ugh. I've got no interest in signing OBJ to a multiyear contract. I'd rather extend Hilton.

We had a pricey WR *w/o* the surgeries. Would have much rather kept Cooper than sign OBJ.

You know, I agree with this. But isn't the locker room exactly where this should have happened, and not in the media.

I liked Amari, and I find it kind of funny that he was criticized for not having the fire that some other receivers have, but when we have the loud / high energy / boisterous receiver, all they get is crap for being selfish.

Amari, when healthy, was a definite asset to this team.

Agreed that it should stay in the locker room. But, I think he had already rubbed Jerry wrong by missing the Chiefs and Raiders games because of COVID. So, talking about the star QB may have been all he needed to jettison the WR.

Remember, T.O. got shipped out as soon as he had issues with Romo (and Witten). Can't have a locker room divided for/against the QB.

Speculation on my part of course but still plausible to me.

Jerry's strategy to bring in all this WR help is misguided and futile. The plan should be to reduce the number of passing plays and get Dak out of the pocket on more of his attempts. Watching Kurt Warner's all 22 review of Dak was a tough look for the QB. His vision, decision making and timing are problematic. Not sure how it will help to bring in more talent at the WR position if Dak is struggling to read defenses and make the right throws on time.

dak's ego isn't going to let him just hand the ball off and play ball control offense. He thinks he's a passer. sad but true., but many will blame everybody but him.
