If we start getting embararrassed by teams that are obviously inferior to us in prime television slots, we may see a change at the end of the year.

Garrett has a job, even in the bad years, because the team always plays hard.

Yep, Jerry fired Wade because the team quit. The 2015 team never quit on Garrett.

If we play hard and finish with 7 or 8 wins no way Garrett is fired. Even at 5-11 I doubt it unless something dramatic happens.

I'm personally ready to move on from Garrett and company. I thinks he's had every opportunity to improve this team and has failed to do so. When you've got young talented building blocks like Dak and Zeke you can't continue to let them wallow in the mire of a failed regime. That said, you also can't run up the white flag and declare defeat with 6 games on your schedule and a 500 record. That's a quit from top to bottom and sends a terrible message not only to your players, but any future staff that you might endeavor to hire.

Jerry will fire people if it turns out Dak continues his slump based on ‘coaches input’ to start him after getting Zeke for Romo’s last years...

If they finish 5-11, it would mean that they ended the season losing 8 in a row. There's no chance he could come back if that were to occur.

That being said, this is the only way that Garrett wouldn't be back in 2018. I do think, though, that there will be a staff shakeup.

I’m pretty sure Jerry only demoted Jason Garrett anyways because of Romo telling him too, when he signed the contract.. he was probably the only one that could have forced a change in such a way..

I'm not big on the current coaching staff either, but as the owner you don't give them grief at 5-5.

Yea but some of our missing players will be coming back so we'll probably win enough games to be 8-8.

Unfortunately, this is by far the most likely outcome. We'll be playing in Philly for a chance for the 6 seed, and they will clean us again, even if the backups are playing the second half. I say second half because I can't see the Philly staff playing the rest card for a full game with a bye the following week. That's mainly a Red thing.

Philly will go for the throat in the finale as there fans will take a sweep of Dallas in place of a playoff victory if it comes to that.....

Translation: "I'm not willing to admit that I was wrong in keeping my faith in Garrett. I'll stand by him no matter how many times he fails to get us to the Superbowl"

Yea and if we win that game Jerry will use it as proof that we ended the season on a high note no matter what the rest of the games are like.
