If the sewer rats scurry with MM coming back, give him ten years.

If they are gonna stick around to continue to make fun and create more divisions among fans, then they can take the weak ones with them when we let MM walk.
Ranching---is that a shitzu.........Poodle mix on your profile....i had one that looked very similar to yours?

Well Choc, we all hope he’s not back next year. But 31 other NFL GMs would have fired the HC back in January for the worst playoff loss in team history. I say it’s still very possible.

We have a completely unaccountable and incompetent GMthe oldest GM in NFL history who somehow thinks he knows what he’s doing despite not having won even a divisional playoff game since now 58 year old Troy Aikman was 29. All but 6 current Cowboys players weren’t even born the last time we won a divisional playoff game.

So no…I won’t be surprised if Big Mac is back.
Right On! Very well said Bobhaze!!! :banghead::huh::grin::bow:

This is such a Jerry move. Don’t extend your coach immediately after a 13 win season but extend him after an abysmal year. So stupid it probably makes sense in Jerry’s brain.

I heard Ed Werder say this morning that McCarthy has ties to people in saints organization. I could see Big Mac just leaving with his contract expiring and heading to New O. He has his home in Dallas up for sale since October. Maybe Mac has already decided he doesn’t want to be here.
This!

I think that’s a greater possibility than Jethro letting him walk.

McCarthy would have to want a more normal situation.

Remember when we hired him no one else was really interested in signing him. Now they probably are.

He is staying all these people ( Aikman, certain players) I can hear it in Jones voice now .Book it he is coming back !
That’s assuming he wants to comeback and isn’t offered a job elsewhere.

Contrary to what some Cowboys fans are letting their emotions get the best of them McCarthy has probably placed himself in a more attractive position to the rest of the league than before he came here.

If they bring McCarthy back, I'll finally lose all hope for this team.
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have already lost hope before he came here?

Our dysfunctional and toxic atmosphere is much more deeply rooted than our HC.

Good question. Never thought of who I'd want that's realistic.
I don't think Ben Johnson comes here.
I've always thought Jerry would go for the name in Bill B for coach.

Not sold on Vrabel-unless he has good OC/DC connections.

Could see guys like Joe Brady, who after Dorsey was fired gave a more balanced approach to the Bills offense.
Or even Jerry going back to Kellen Moore lol
No one is coming here unless their phone isn’t ringing.

LOL..... sounds like Jerry's pushing Mike for another own/team. Remember he helped Quinn get the Commanders job

Better listen up...a HOF'er taking. It's a process. It will get better...

Again, I’m fine with moving on from McCarthy but I mean Troy has a valid point. So many here say “he’s had 5 years” blah blah and yes we have fallen short of the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl, hell even a championship game but Mike has provided more stability in terms of wins and playoff appearances on a consistent basis than any coach has done in the last 30 years. He needs to get over the hump and he needs to produce deep playoff runs- but the team clearly hasn’t given up on him at 2-7 and that does mean something.

It is not as black and white as many make it to be. When you factor in what comes with this job (ie the owner and his demands) that eliminates so many candidates that get thrown around here ; the vrabels, the Johnson’s (money) and many others. Mike is a good coach if we replace him it needs to be with a candidate who on paper blows him away (belichick) and it’s easier said than done when factor in all the X factors of coaching here

Epic mistake to bring McCarthy back. His failures as a HC have been on full display the 5 years he has been in Dallas. Time to move on.
It’s long past time to move on. He never should have made it to this season let alone next season. If Jerry brings him back he deserves what happens next. This team has done nothing but fail in the biggest spots and anyone thinks the answer is to just bring back all the same people? Shame on us if we do so and then get surprised when nothing changes. It’s why we are stuck in a cycle of mediocrity and playoff disappointments.

Keep McCarty fire McCarthy it makes zero difference since the Dallas hc has zero power.
