I heard Ed Werder say this morning that McCarthy has ties to people in saints organization. I could see Big Mac just leaving with his contract expiring and heading to New O. He has his home in Dallas up for sale since October. Maybe Mac has already decided he doesn’t want to be here.
McCarty has to be miserable here being Jerry’s whipping boy. A miserable job and the next hc will mk zero difference. Jerry is the hc and Jerry won’t let any hc change our messed up losing culture. I could hibernate for ten years, wake up and it would be the same broken Jones model.

cowboys havent scored a td in the first quarter all year long until this game. they have the worst redzone avg in the nfl.
the team is a comedy of errors, mike needs to go.
it is getting boring, I found this season to be the most boring season ever .
I dont think I can keep watching games if mike is extended.

This is where I am at with MM:

1. He has not gotten over us the playoff hump in 5 years— and that is the sole reason he was brought here— so his tenure can only be viewed as a failure at the macro level (to this point)

2. He should have been fired after the GB debacle. That was the lowest point in 30 years as a franchise. A transition then would have resulted in some measure of culture change and chemistry in the locker room— though it wouldn’t change the real dysfunctional issues at the highest level

3. He was set up to fail this year. He has been screwed over by an incompetent FO. I just don’t see how someone’s head doesn’t roll for this turd of a season, and we all know the GM is safe— so that leaves MM to take the hit. Which was JJ’s safety measure on this crap show anyway. He has his scapegoat if he wants to play that card.

4. The way we lost last night points to a systemic issue within MM’s culture: penalties, mistakes, and lack or preparation. This team beats itself. It has been that way for 5 years, and despite some regular season success, we need an overhaul and a HC who can motivate the guys and keep them focused on their professional responsibilities.

Is he a “bad” coach? No. Is he the “right” coach for Dallas now? No. We need to shake things up and have a culture reset. You just don’t get that by running it back (again)
Right you are, govnor, right you are.
Key is a HC who would shed some principles in order to work for Yoda. He would/should be a fire breather in the mold of Sir Jimmy or a modern-day Mike Tomlin whose snarl in his words inspire fear and confidence in players.

Alas, the Steelers have extended Tomlinson 3 years.

yes but he has 2 homes here, when quinn left mike bought dans house.
The sale fell thru on the one for sale.

After this season if mike has any brains he should leave, go to some team with a real gm lol , where they want to win.
If he stays, that says he doesnt care about winning either.

Aikman must have been oblivious to the fact we stopped running the ball after Dowdle’s 14 yard run with just over 5 minutes to play. Rush proceeded to have three incompletions that led to a punt when we could have at least gotten 3. That’s on McCarthy.

I agree. But then, who, mate?
What expert but foolish coach would accept this ride on the Titanic? With Yoda the BOSS?

Say, remember my Aikman thread from yesterday???

The one in which I laughed about a few lies I believe he told during the broadcast????

The one in which I stated that Troy's dislike for Jerry has him wishing for Jerry to keep losing???

"WAAAAH, YOU'RE CALLING A LEGEND LIKE TROY A LIAR!?!?"

Yeah, I'll just leave this here. Sweet victory.

I'll accept your hilarious excuses and weak justifications as your apologies.

If you still think Troy wants what's best for the Cowboys after reading this, I don't know what to tell ya. I really don't.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman on @1053thefan said he expects Mike McCarthy to be the Cowboys' head coach next season.

"Short of Bill Belichick, I don't know who you're going to bring in that has a better resume. ... I just feel that for a team that I really do not think is that far away ... I like the way this team is playing right now, even without their franchise quarterback.

"I sense that it's a team that really believes in Mike McCarthy. I feel the locker room wants him back. I think he's a really good football coach. I believe Jerry Jones thinks he's a really good football coach, too. ... As we stand and talk right now, I expect Mike McCarthy to be back in 2025."

Mike McCarthy is good coach like him or not. The problem is the players on the field.

Blame Jerry Jones.
you know this is the problem. the management of the roster. we are top loaded with contracts and under performing players. we prefer the splash play player vs the blue-collar player. we in the later rounds are not looking at the board and taking BPA... we are picking need and where a guy will back up someone, instead of saying ok we have player 1 that could be a starter and yes we have 2 guys there but they have been injured etc... and talking player 1. Instead they take player 2 because he can back up a starter and with time and coaching can contribute for a few games until player A gets back.

you look at every draft pic as a possible starter not a backup.

Can Jerry just bring in Witten to be the Head coach/OC and have Harris be the DC with Lee being a DC assistance....
