I heard Ed Werder say this morning that McCarthy has ties to people in saints organization. I could see Big Mac just leaving with his contract expiring and heading to New O. He has his home in Dallas up for sale since October. Maybe Mac has already decided he doesn’t want to be here.
Three 12-5 seasons here give him some skin on the wall. Not enough for the Cowboys but a bunch of teams would love it.

I would kinda like the chaos that a new McCarthy contract would bring.

We’re not winning anyways.

So why not make it drama filled instead?
If the sewer rats scurry with MM coming back, give him ten years.

If they are gonna stick around to continue to make fun and create more divisions among fans, then they can take the weak ones with them when we let MM walk.

Heck no, he should have been gone after that terrible play off loss at home. Instead we keep him for a lame duck year and this year has been pretty lame. lol

I'm not sure I would even tune in next season if Jerry ran this thing back. Would be the first NFL season in 25-30 years I'd let miss me.

I think Jerry knows this (that fans are fed up). I don't see him doing it.

That would work, as would Jacksonville. Give him a decent QB and I bet he does pretty well. Especially without a lunatic owner pushing his pet players on him.

What is a shame is Mike isn't a bad coach. But we have 5 years of data to see that Mike cannot win in spite of the Jones boys. Not sure anyone can overcome them, but time to roll the dice again. Mike might go to another team and do great.

Get ready for another 3 years of Big Mike and Dak. Both will get canned after this. Then the real change will happen.

Who's your leading candidate to replace him?

Good question. Never thought of who I'd want that's realistic.
I don't think Ben Johnson comes here.
I've always thought Jerry would go for the name in Bill B for coach.

Not sold on Vrabel-unless he has good OC/DC connections.

Could see guys like Joe Brady, who after Dorsey was fired gave a more balanced approach to the Bills offense.
Or even Jerry going back to Kellen Moore lol

While I'm not someone throwing a ton of blame McCarthys way I would be shocked if he returns. Fan interest is lower than usual right now. We saw the small crowds for camp and a losing record certainly wont help. Jerry has to find a way to sell optimism to the fans, and I dont see a great route to take other than with a coaching change. He wont be firing the GM. He locked up his QB so that wont change for the next couple years at least. Is he actually going to spend on a top free agent? Possible but I doubt it.

A new face walking the sideline seems to be the easiest way to create a buzz this offseason.

I am hearing Vrabel could get at least 2-3 offers. Kellen would def be at the top of Jerry's list. Oh, wanna hear a wild nugget.......if the Raiders fire Pierce, Deion could be in play with Shedure as their first pick.

I could see Mark Davis doing that too.

That being said, I would be surprised if Deion leaves-even with his son moving on
