I thought that was the plan all along. If Dak is healthy, he'll be back for the game after the bye.
Makes the most sense, especially with Cooper holding down the fort so adequately.

Not sure whose plan? Team has said when he is healthy and can go through full practice then he will be ready but never heard anyone within the team say any thing about bye week or any specific teams.

No surprise here - he waa never going to rush back for a difficult game.

Regardless, way to go Jerry - telegraphing it to everyone so our opponents dont need to prepare fot 2 x QBs who have very different skills.

Of course, Dak is set to see Dr. Tuesday, if he is cleared he will practice and McCarthy will decide based on what they see. On the other hand if Dak does not get cleared by doctors he will be practicing this week.
if it is tue, then he wont get a full week of practice. I am sure dak is wanting to play, but no telling what jones will do.
He may leave it up to mike, but I think it really depends on what jerry wants to do.

If dak is cleared, I think dak will suit up, and may be a game time decision, or who knows jerry may announce by wed it is rush or dak.

Haven't we learned not to listen to Jerry yet?
He's a bs artist.

exactly right. It’s still mystifies me that there is anybody who gives two craps what this alcoholic overly Botoxed pervert has to say about anything.

Jerry’s primary focus is endorsement deals and selling jerseys. He understands that despite the fact that dak is grossly overpaid, he’s still going to sell more jerseys than Cooper Rush because Prescott is “cool“

0–1 and Zero touchdowns in week one pales in comparison to a five game winning streak. This is why the Dallas Cowboys are virtually unwatchable

It’s more about image than substance and it’s been that way for some years. And that’s a shame because there was a time when that wasn’t the case

If Jerry’s Brain isn’t overly soaked in Johnny blue, he would realize that the best thing he would realize that the best thing he would do to protect his shiny toy is to wait until after the Eagles game to bring him back. And I guarantee you both Jerry and Dak are hoping that Philly pounds us to make it all the more easier to gift back the starting job to number four. If rush plays well and the Cowboys beat Philly it’s that much harder to put back in the $40 million superhero

I guarantee you these conversations are taking place behind closed doors and that’s pathetic because it should be about winning. Nothing more nothing less

They don't start practice until wed. I'm not a doctor all I can say is once doctors clear him then he will be able to practice. As for Jerry I honestly do not believe he will make that determination, it will be doctors and McCarthy and of course Dak. Jerry may announce it but I don't buy he is the one who will determine it.

Doctors can clear him, but that doesn't mean he is ready. He has played less then 4 quarters this year and played zero in the pre season. Frankly the timing will be trash.

True, doctors clearing him means he will then be able to put in the work at practice, How that goes will determine a lot.

Rush has really put them in a bad spot with Dak. Dak is the starter and he should play when he is ready, if that is this week fine, if not, fine. The issue is it would be much easier to put Dak in after a loss than a win. Just think, Rush has won 4 in a row after a horrible start and game by Dak. If Dak does get the nod on Sunday and he plays like he did in the opener, oh my the crowd will turn on him quick and the "we want Rush" chants will start. Whenever Dak is ready, he better be ready to play his best ball, right or wrong, if he stinks it up again, the fans will not go easy on him.

I agree if the object is to play to fans wishes, I really do not think a determination will be made by what fans want, I think it is made based on health and his ability to go through a full week of practice.

I agree, I just hope for his sake he brings it when he does play. After what Rush as done - while not putting up a lot of stats but managing the game to 4 straight wins, if Dak stinks it up, he may have to request a trade to get away from all the hate he feel from the fans.

All he can control his is own play he can't be worried about what people say that have nothing to do with this team.

I'm an alcoholic too with plenty of mental health issues. But I can be truthful. Maybe because I'm not a billionaire.

OMG!

I guess it helps some fans to vilify Jerry Jones and sell yourself on the idea that this old arse man who has more money than many countries somehow only cares about making more. I would bet Jerry would give away a billion dollars for another superbowl trophy. The man is obsessed with it. He still has Jimmy Johnson doubts in his mind and he knows other do also. He already made the HOF for his business acumen. He has nothing left to achieve in life by making more money. He wants to win and he wants the credit that goes with it. Nothing else matter more to him at this point.

how bad he wants to win means absolutely nothing. It’s just words. It’s funny the fans who still buy it or actually put any stock in the garbage that comes out of his mouth. The guys 80 and been spewing the same crap for 30 years! He’ll continue to shovel it

No, Rush has put them in a great spot. He's kept them in contention. He's shown the team that they can overcome adversity and win even with a crucial piece missing. That's only a good thing for when Dak comes back because now the team and Dak both see it doesn't have to all be on Dak's shoulders and there should be more trust. Dak should not force things thinking he has to. He can trust the defense to make stops. He can focus on getting the ball out earlier to avoid sacks.

This is a good thing all around, for the team and for Dak.
