It doesn't matter. When Dak is healthy he is going to be the starting QB. When you bench a 40 million dollar QB in this situation it means his career is over in Dallas. The Cowboys have not given up on Dak Prescott nor should they. In fact, there isn't a team in the NFL that would bench Dak in this same situation. It's not a Jerry Jones thing. If we win Sunday with Rush, meaning we would've then beaten both of last years Super Bowl teams, then what?
Are they really going to bring Dak in there against the Eagles?
Let's say they don't and give Dak another week...
What if we then beat the potential 5-0 Eagles on Sunday Night Football?!?!
Cooper Rush has been really good. He has done better than anyone expected and there are aspects of his game that look better than Daks. But the only way Cooper Rush gets the starting job is when he takes it. That's when he plays so well and is so integral to the teams wins that you can't imagine taking that advantage away from your team on Sunday.
That's the only way he replaces a 40 million dollar Dak Prescott and as good as he has been he has not been that. He has helped the team win but he is not WHY we are winning. If you had to pick a reason we are winning it is defense.
