Welcome to Jerry speak, This is NOT going to go on until Training camp....I don't think they're going to allow Romo to do anything at the complex risking an injury and being stuck with him....
Lol, He isn't going to get hurt.

Yea, this is a total BS statement by Jerry that they are going to hold onto Romo until training camp. There is no way they are going to let Romo into the facility to start lifting weights and working out in the conditioning program, along with the mini-camps and everything else.

If Romo hurts himself while at the facility, the team is responsible for his entire $14 million salary. Not saying Romo would do this, but the possibility exists that Romo could fake a "soft tissue injury" and there is really no way to prove it and besides, the team would have to basically call Romo a liar in the media and that is not going to happen.
Really? There is a lot more risk in having Moore as the backup.

i dont get this, id figure by now dallas would be sitting on so many picks, by the amount of teams that would be racing to pound on the door of a aged veteran who has no history of injuries at all, isnt known as an interception at the wrong moment type of qb around the league. id figure at least 5 number 1's for this guy. Why is this not happening? Logic, common sense, and that feeling of dread once the ink is dried be damned. This is tony freaking romo ya all, loads of playoff victories, great post season stats, you know hes getting younger by the season. Whats not to offer here? I dont get it, 10 first round picks is a deal for a qb who has all these stats.

Watch out guys, stand back, that door is going to get blown off the hinges.

Romo should show up to every Voluntary Mini, Mandatory Mini and OTA...fully participate so Jerry and Stephen have to weigh fully guaranteeing his $14mil in case he gets injured. This game that's being played is interesting if anyone is involved in or interested in the business of football. I love it!

Wherever he lands will likely be using a majority of the playbook he is familiar with and Bill O'Brien or Vance Joseph can easily start plugging in aspects of it from as early as their Voluntary Mini, Mandatory Mini or OTA. So it won't hurt the prospective teams, Romo or Dallas. In Denver's case, they play Dallas next season so using Garrett and Linehan's playbook won't hurt them even if they miss out on Romo when he is released.

Good stuff indeed...

The other side of that coin is they hold on to Romo as a backup plan in case of an injury to Dak or Kellen during that time period.

Was listening to the NFLN morning show before work this morning and those folks make no sense.

Dallas is under no obligation to get rid of Romo now.

Clearly, (at least in my mind) Dallas holds leverage with Houston because they only have Tom Savage and some othe schlub I can't remember. I think they got caught with their pants down when anticipating Romo's release when they dumped Osweiler to create the salary cap room to take on Romo.

The deeper we go into the offseason the more they'll want to get started melding a new QB like Romo with the franchise and teammates. I'm predicting they give up a mid-round pick (3rd-4th) for Romo in the next few weeks.

I'm sorry but so many of you crack me up with your speculations, predictions and opinions ... seriously .. I mean NONE of you know what really is going to happen but you speculate and argue your points as if it's fact . You challenge each other like you KNOW what is happening and when . I don't get it ? Why? Is there a prize for
Who is right ? Facts .. Tony Romo is still a member of the Dallas Cowboys ..no posturing and bold statements on a website fan board will change what the next move is ..period.. it is a lesson in futile arguments .. let's all just talk about what we know .. the cowboys don't have to do anything .. and if and when the dust settles and a finite decision is made , then let's discuss the details at nauseam . For now it's just comical at best
