I get the sentiments and I agree with what you’re saying. However, I don’t think there’s much difference between picking 5 to 10 here. We can still draft Jeanty. we obviously aren’t drafting one of the quarterbacks, or never really had a chance at Travis Hunter. Picis four through 10 seem to be about the same level and there are not many blue chip prospects in this draft.

I’d make the argument that drafting 5 instead of 10 makes a big difference if you’re trading the pick for next years pick to move up in the draft to get a QB. There are none in this years draft that warrant a top 5 pick. The idiots in charge can’t think that far ahead because all they want to do is hang around the rim. Always thinking they are one draft away. This team is several years away from building a team that can compete for a SB.

The opportunity to make the playoffs or accomplish anything of meaning never existed.

So now....we'll just exist, play games that mean nothing, and repeat for 4 or 5 seasons.

They can get a difference maker between 10 and 12. Just like they did with Parsons.

Exactly........4-10 ( I think 7-8 is the best we can hope) still gives you a shot at Graham, Tmac or Carter or trade down for extra picks.

Very true. The Giants didn't say they were tanking....they merely went straight to their 3rd string Qb after benching Jones.

They later went with Drew Lock who's almost as bad.....so they still good for that top 3 draft pick

In Jerry’s defense, I am pretty sure Goodell would come down on him if he admitted to wanting to tank. The NFL can’t allow owners to announce to the world that they are tanking. So whether Dallas is tanking or not, Jerry should never come out and say they are tanking. This is one of the few times he spoke and said the right things. I don’t need Goodell going after any of our draft picks because Jerry ran his mouth about tanking.

The Giants knew they weren’t winning with Lock or Devito. I think they initially put in Devito because that’s who the fan base wanted to see and they thought it create a little buzz and excitement. Plus Devito wasn’t too bad last year. He went 3-4 as a starter in 2023. It would kind of be like Jerry skipping over Rush to start Lance because the fans wanted it.
