If this is the case, it would make more sense to let Dak pay out his contract and then use the San Fran blueprint to compete for a CC.
People always talk about the Rams, but I'd say San Fran may be on to something as far as any so-called "blueprint."

Would love for them to just let dak play it out. I'm a big dak fan, but the spot might be too big for him. If it's not working, he gets impatient trying to be hero.
I think that has alot to do with having your friend as your OC. Never liked this dynamic. Oh Kellen Moore is going too yell at Dak? Too much freedom. JG I will say kept Dak in line and Dak wasn't freelancing as much. Dak didn't turn it over when he had that structure.
Hopefully MM can fix this.

Dak at this point has reached is full potential. Any reference to Brady by Jones is delusional. Dak can play better with better players around him, but he I doubt he matures much more as a QB.

Bull. Dak just needs to take what they give him, and teams can't stop him. He's proven this over and over in his career. But I think that contract has him thinking he needs to make all the plays.
Will more talent help, yes. As it will with every other team in the nfl.
Plain and simple Dak needs to step up. But so does the rest of the team. You can't keep harping about talent when ur always in the top 5 offense. Something was working. 12-5 season something was working. 40 on one of the best defenses in the nfl.
Keep saying the same things and it just sounds like a bunch of excuses

One, you oversell McClay. He doesn't make the decisions, the Jones do. They aren't in the OBJ sweepstakes because McClay is pushing him. They are talking to OBJ because Jerry wants him. That's not to say Jerry and Stephen sit down and build draft boards or whatever but in reality, they have way more control over what happens than you are alleging here.Yeah be fed up. Two, for every Fowler or Hankins, there are 5 guys like Nolan Carroll and Greg Hardy and Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson, etc. Yes, they've hit on a few low cost guys - Kearse and Hooker are others - but they have been burned way more by their cheap ways in FA than succeeded. Burned it probably a bad term as some of these guys are so cheap it doesn't hurt at all. Better terminology is to say the failures in FA doing the cheap thing are way more frequent than the successes. Now the comeback from the pro-Jerry crowd will be every team signs bargain guys that don't work out. True. But not every team tries to sell those bargain guys as a solution to their issues. For example, Jerry and Stephen couldn't stop talking about how they thought adding Thompson and Hurns would fix our WR issues. A few months later, they were sending off a first round pick to get a legitmate WR.
Cooper was just mismanagement by Jerry and company, plain and simple. They botched WR this past offseason. That was clear to any sane person as far back as August, that they had WR issues.
Sure, many predicted 8-8 but the longer term picture here - the general lack of success over a long period with Jerry in charge is far more telling than the team winning 12 games when some said they'd only win 8. To me, it's going to take a lot of luck for this team to win a SB with Jerry in charge. And sadly, I think when Stephen takes over full time after his dad passes, it could get worse.

Lol, guess you just ignored his time at Miss State. And don't act like this defense hasn't ruined some great games by dak. That playoff loss to gb is right at the top too. Dak outplayed Karen Rodgers, granted the refs screwed them, but if the defense was able to make 1 stop. Dallas gets to the nfccg his rookie yr.
