on the Ticket. Basically said that the big contracts and bonuses on the books will keep him from cutting any big contracts.

He specifically used TO as an example and said, "if I cut him, the bonus accelerates onto the cap and then I don't have room to sign Ware."

Basically sounded like he was holding Ware over the fans heads and saying that, if I cut guys because you fans think there are chemistry issues, you don't get your shiny toy on defense.

He also said that the coaches will not be replaced and that there will be about 30% turnover on the roster (just not any of the big contracts or big signing bonus guys).

Translation: Don't hold your breath. More of the same. The only "turnover" will be with that bottom 30% of the roster and most of that "change" will come in the form of rookies.

This is a real problem. Jerry has to fix the problems the old fashioned way rather than just cut players and fire coaches.

Unless Jerry Jones removes himself as GM, I feel most chances will not help.

It is not about talent anyway.

The players don't fear the Coaching Staff because the man that ultimately pays their bills has their back.

We had a guy like this at my job. He was lazy and never wanted to do anything and he could get away with it because the Finance Director and him were friends.

Once the Finance Director took another job, this guy bailed because he knew the new Finance Director didn't like him and would force him to change or get out.

Jerry is an idiot. Plain and simple. We will never get close to the Super Bowl again as long as he is in charge. He is just being stubborn now. He knows the fans want changes and he is digging in his heels. Jerry = loser.

in 25 minutes he contradicted himself repeatedly on the most important issues on this team.

He is everything that is wrong with this team. It just works its way down.

I truly think that Jerry is emergency spin mode....he really thought we would be in the playoffs with Romo at the helm...

His talk of him "changing" is a joke.....we all know as long as he is the owner he will run this team.....

Just sad with all the talent that there is no TEAM.....sad..

With no changes this team will absolutely finish dead last in the NFC East. No doubt about that. Nice way to open Jerry World huh?

How is that news? Anyone with a half functional brain knows that there was no way any big contract guys were getting cut because of the cap.

Only complete idiots actually thought there was a shot that Jerry was going to wreck the cap by cutting guys with big contracts just to appease people.

And what "old-fashioned" way would that be? Draft a bunch of young kids you won't play, cross your fingers and hope the chemistry issues just go away?

What's going to correct that? There are staff changes necessary. There also is some players that simply have to go away to allow this fractured team to pull together. If we just sit there, return everyone with a meaner face and just think we can tweak the problems away, we will be in disarray after a few losses. These are issues inherant on this roster and with this staff in particular.

Maybe Campo needs to take everyone to Sea World. Maybe that would pull everyone together.

Not sure who you are talking to but I did not think Jerry would make any player changes. Now coaching changes, that is another story.

Bingo!!! Our big money players are damn good, they just need a HC with some discipline to infuse some fear into them. The old fashion way is the way to go. I just don't believe WP can change and get the job done. JJ has brought the talent here, just look at how good our rookie class did this year. Discipline, accountability, respect, a lil fear, and hard work is what this team needs...

It'd be nice if everyone that had such a big problem with Jerry would just leave. He's not going anywhere and the constant complaining is just annoying. It's his team, his players, his stadium.

People blame Jerry because they don't know what else is wrong and just point at "the top" grasping for straws.

Jerry brings in talent and he brings in what everyone thought at the time were brilliant offensive and defensive coaches. That's all a GM can do.

Appease people? He added these contracts. He is the one to blame. It is his mess to fix in the first place. It is not about making anyone happy. It about fielding a team that is unified, well-coached and on the same page.

No, a GM can also fire a coach who fails at his job.
