He wasnt even right about the Rams. If you see the Superbowl shot, you take it. If the Cowboys went to the Superbowl and lost 38/35, no one on this forum would be crying about why we bet it all in one year. Just loser talk.
You must be new

He had an extra first round pick last draft and fans here are like, “He’s so good!”
Well, he had that because he traded Wentz to Indy. Howie spent a ton to get Wentz in the first place. He used multiple picks to move up to get him and on top of that, signed that chump to a huge contract. He then had to eat salary to even trade him to Indy.

Yeah, over all that is an “L” for Howie.

And he will have another draft pick this season from the Jalen Reagor trade. A 7th round pick. That’s for a guy that Howie spent a first round pick on and who he thought was better than Justin Jefferson.

He is a trading, free agent signing fool but he can’t draft for crap.

Howie finally realized that he sucks at the draft, so the last couple of years he decided to just draft guys from big SEC schools early and hope for the best.

Devonta Smith in the first and Dickerson in the 2nd from Alabama last year. This year he took Davis and Dean from Georgia in the 1st and 3rd. Of course his 2nd this year wasn’t from the SEC… but he had to get Kelsey to scout a decent center for him and then picked who Kelsey wanted, lol.

And of course, he gave up completely on drafting a WR this year and just traded for Brown, who he will be paying $25M/year to. That is a GM who knows he sucks at picking WR’s. And of course he had to give up a first plus to get a WR because his Reagor pick that he spent another first on was so God awful. It’s comical.

Had Dallas done this, fans here would be going bonkers.

Howie’s first round picks from 2014 to 2020:

2014 Marcus smith - BUST
2015 Nelson Agholor - BUST
2016 Carson Wentz - well, y’all know.
2017 Derrick Barnett - BUST
2018 No Pick
2019 Andre Dillard - BUST
2020 Jalen Reagor - BUST

Just beyond terrible.

Really the only pick there that Howie can’t be blamed for is Nelson Agholor because that was the year that Chip Kelly kicked him out of the front office. And what is funny about that is that Agholor is probably the best pick out of that group. Especially considering how much draft capital and actual money he gave up for/to Wentz.

Despite all those "bad" moves that happened in the last few years, here were the Eagles back in the SB 5 years later. Despite all those boneheaded gaffes, the Eagles were dominant all season.

Roseman is such a better GM than our two noobs. Even when you consider he has some real headscratching drafts. I mean let's be honest, we are lucky Roseman sucks at drafting because if he was good at that, Philly might be even better than they are now.

PS - The trade they made to get Wentz wasn't all that bad because you have to remember, the Eagles hoodwinked the Dolphins into taking some bum players with bad contracts in order to help Philly move up. And Philly then was able to get out from under his contract and recoup at least one first round pick when Wentz had basically flamed out in Philly. Roseman is a master trader.

dont get me wrong if Payne wore a start hed easily be the best DT we have had since jay ratliff maybe and I would love to see it. I just dont see washington letting him go theyll figure things out financially im sure
Oh I'm with you. I don't see them letting him go....I just don't know how you properly build a team around 72 million DT and a 100 million. Especially when its been proven you don't need it. You can build a defensive line around one good one and one great DT. But I dont' know its the Commanders we are talking about. For all I know they could think Sam Howell is the missing piece.

You don’t go all in for one year

Lmao
I enjoyed the Eagles losing. We are Cowboys fans-so that is obvious. I did not enjoy them losing to the tune of stopping my brain from working.

The Eagles are a clearly better run organization than our Cowboys team for the past 27 years. 2 Super Bowl appearance in 5 years using 3 different QB’s. 7 NFC title games and 3 SB (one win) appearances in the past 27 years. Howie Roseman has some poor draft decisions, but dances circles around the drunkard in the Cowboys owner’s box. If you can make a second SB in 5 years after demolishing the team you were building-your pathway was correct. The end.

They still have 2 first round picks next year and plenty of cap space to sign the free agents they want.

So glad they lost today though haha
And the Cowboys could still beat them next year.

Except they didn't ..... Jerry is a buffoon.
Jerry is a clown, but he was right on this one. Eagles went for it this year and it will cost them next season. This was their BIG chance to win it all before Hurts gets paid.

Unless you have Mahomes, that is the state of affairs for winning championships now. You have to have a team good enough to roll the dice and make a 1 or 2 year run at it. Then settle back with the cap two years and do it again.

They didn't go all in for one year. They just got more creative than Jerry's let's-run-it-back-again plan.

They've got a bunch of draft picks, including two first this year. Jerry was just talking out of an oriface.
The Cowboys have 9 draft picks which is more than the Eagles.

The teams that finish above the Boys every year always go for it in free agency and trades to fill positions of need. Maybe they are on to something?

Rams traded Goff and got Stafford, Miller, OBJ and won it.
Bucs got Brady, Gronk and won it.
Eagles traded Wentz got Brown, Bradberry, bolstered the lines and almost won it

The Cowboys are successful but to get past this division round wall Jerry is gonna have to go for it

Six instead of 7, and two of them are firsts. Yeah, they're screwed.

Jerry was right about the Rams, but not the Eagles. Meanwhile, we're still trying to figure out how to get beyond the divisional round. Yay, Jerry.
My calculator says 8 points.

The Rams and Bucs are terrible. They both got lucky for one year. Now they are done.

They were in the super bowl and STILL have more draft capital than Dallas. I hate the eagles too, but I’ll trade Jerry and his hall of fame jacket for Their owner and a sweatshirt any day.
The Cowboys have 9 picks. The Eagles have 6 picks.
