I define going all in as a make or break year. I don't know Philly mortgaged their future. Guys like AJ Brown will still be producing. The trick will be balancing the roster after paying the qb.
Be interesting after paying Hurts big bucks what kind of team they can put around him.

Hurtz is entering his final year of his rookie contract? Correct? Maybe Jerry is having PTSD on paying a QB too much money..lol. Meaning he thinks the Eagles will have the same issues with money and the cap once they pay Hurtz. Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part but I still think the Eagles are trending down. Hurtz played well and had a great season against an arguably weak schedule. The problem is that GM Jerry's approach has not worked either.

No question they will not sign Payne but they should.

Dak will be extended so they can function on the cap.

They still have 2 void years to make his number work. Although, you might be right. They may extend as well.

The smart move would be not to. Wait and see how he functions in another offense. That way if we part ways with MM we can bring in another coach who has some degree of flexibility. My favorite thing about KM leaving is the rubber meeting the road.

Yes, since he was a 2nd round pick, Eagles don't get that 5th year that 1st round picks do.

That is exactly what I think they should do w/ Dak. See what he does this year.

They still have 2 first round picks next year and plenty of cap space to sign the free agents they want.

So glad they lost today though haha
but also many players sup for new GIANT deals very soon..

Who cares? They will both go into rebuild mode for some years, but they have a Superbowl on their resume. Unless regular season stats are your goal?
I agree and it will take them two years to rebuild.

They won't do the smart move unfortunately, expect the extension.

I know Payne is doubtful but would make an impact on this defense.

ROFL. you are posting nonsense.
Eagles get 5 road games versus 2022 playoff teams.
Dallas, NYG, KC, SEA, TB
You're kidding, right?
Giants (9-7) and Seattle (9-8) were the worse teams in the playoffs. TB (8-9) will be without Brady, and you think they will be good? Like I said, KC is the only tough team on the road. I really don't even count NFC east teams because that is home-away which isn't in scope for my whole point. Try again...

Lol, yes they did!
LOL no they didn't LOL

They didn't mortgage any of their future like the Rams did LOL LOL

All those defensive guys (suh, Bradbury, white, etc, etc) were all just cheap 1 year rentals that will have no impact on their future when they're gone LOL.

Mortgaging the future means you give a draft picks to win NOW. Eagles have had multiple 1st rd picks for a couple years now...and still has 2 this draft, with a good amount of cap space LOL.

You don't have to believe whatever Jerruh tells you to believe LOL.

NFC East teams are identical except for like 3 games. This is a nonsense argument every year..

I'd argue that the Giants have the tougher schedule.... if the Lions continue playing the way they ended the season.

He didn't criticize them, he said they had a different method.
And he's right, the Rams were unwatchable this year.

Just because fans would be happy going 5-12 for 3 years to win a title doesn't mean it is the CORRECT way to do it.
Jerry did this in 1995 so he knows exactly what that looks like.
Imo in todays NFL it just might be, the object is to win SB - I'll take a SB and a few crap years over what Jerry thinks the right thing to do is.
