Usually NFC east teams fall off after having a great year

I expect the Eagles to go 10-7 or 9-8 and have a first round exit...but it wouldnt shock me if they went 6-11

NFC East teams are VERY funny year to year you expect one to dominate for 5-6 years and they dont
the Eagles have cap space and draft picks to re-load. They have 2 first round picks this year. We have a better chance of fading than they do. Jerry was wrong (as usual) about them. This isn't a Rams situation where they maxed the cap and mortgaged the future to make a run.

Except they didn't ..... Jerry is a buffoon.
They very much did.

I hate how clueless most Cowboys fans are in general.
This is a great example.

The Eagles ALREADY packed the cap with void years and ALREADY placed their restructures into 2023.
Dallas is going to flip a couple switches and voila 40M in cap space. --which will be gone quickly.
The Eagles do NOT even have those switches.

They have been full on reckless with the cap.
They owe Darius Slay 24M in void money in 2024.
That is IF they eat his full 2023 cap hit of 26M which would be the highest CB cap hit in the NFL
Chances are they will owe him even more in 2024 to free up a bit of 2023 space.

They have 8 players with a Spotrac market value of 11.9M or MORE they need to resign within 12 months.

For the 2nd time the Eagles took a rookie contract and over-leveraged the future team to the point the team falls apart.
They ruined Wentz's career but did get bailed out by Indy.
Only to repeat the same mistake 5 years later.
This time without a SB win to show for it.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/philadelphia-eagles/

If the Eagles win a bunch of games next year it will be with a VERY remade cast.
SIX DL are free agents. 6!!!
2 starting OL, 2 starting DB, 1 starting LB, the Starting RB.

This is completely untrue.
They get an extra pick in R1 but have to pay that guy 8-9M a year.
They are cap strapped and have right ta double digit starters hitting free agency.

Jerry criticizing another team on how to build is like Rosanne Barr criticizing Whitney Houston on how to sing the national anthem.
He didn't criticize them, he said they had a different method.
And he's right, the Rams were unwatchable this year.

Just because fans would be happy going 5-12 for 3 years to win a title doesn't mean it is the CORRECT way to do it.
Jerry did this in 1995 so he knows exactly what that looks like.

They didn't go all in for one year. They just got more creative than Jerry's let's-run-it-back-again plan.

They've got a bunch of draft picks, including two first this year. Jerry was just talking out of an oriface.
Again...or is that ...still....
Somehow every year Philly comes out of any cap issues looking good. Meanwhile, the "we like our guys" duo are on vacation somewhere on a big boat.

All of the good teams they play next year, except KC, they play at home...just like the last 2 years. That is a huge benefit.
ROFL. you are posting nonsense.
Eagles get 5 road games versus 2022 playoff teams.
Dallas, NYG, KC, SEA, TB

I define going all in as a make or break year. I don't know Philly mortgaged their future. Guys like AJ Brown will still be producing. The trick will be balancing the roster after paying the qb.

The Rams and Bucs are terrible. They both got lucky for one year. Now they are done.
Who cares? They will both go into rebuild mode for some years, but they have a Superbowl on their resume. Unless regular season stats are your goal?

Eagles in a superbowl and only 4 points away from winning it. Meanwhile we lose in the 2nd round. Great advice from Jerry

I would care. I'd rather watch a good team play like the Cowboys.

Jerry should just shut up. He has no idea how to build a championship team. He’s never done it without Jimmy Johnson’s help. And never will.
