You're assuming Rush would have helped even get in the playoffs.
Again, did you even watch the Philly game that WASN'T a win or go home game?
Rush was awful. 180 yards and three INTs.

Yeah, he "wouldn't have thrown boneheaded INTs that were the difference in the game"

Only, that's exactly what he did, lol.
So you’re basing Rush’s entire potential on one bad game he had on the road in Philly against a team that’s now headed to the NFC championship? Got it.

Attempting to compare Rush to Prescott it's one of the dumbest things posted here.
And there's plenty to sort.

Lmao, "potential."

Dak might be better than Rush but we would have won that game Sunday with Rush playing QB.

This is Jerry's history of drafting QB's since Aikman and you can see a distinctive pattern here. Keep in mind Aikman was drafted in 1989, 34 years ago. It's been 27 years since the Cowboys have even sniffed the NFC championship. Some of you weren't even alive the last time we had a QB good enough to play in that game.

Quincy Carter
Isaiah Standback
Tony Romo (undrafted)
Stephen McGee
Dak Prescott
Den DiNucci

This isn't counting Chad Hutchinson and Drew Henson who were playing baseball when Jerry Came calling.

The most important position on the team and the highest draft pick we invested was the 53rd overall pick (2nd Rd) for Quincy Carter who was a trainwreck. I think Jerry thinks he's smarter with this position than he is because Romo and Prescott turned out to be over achievers given their pedigree though neither were still able to get to the the conference championship with some very good teams. Now he thinks he has this gift of being able to find QB talent in unconventional ways.
I don’t remember Isaiah Stanback being drafted to be a QB. By the way you left out Mike White.

If you swap dak and Purdy the results would not change. Dak would look all world in san fran and Purdy would be inconsistent here thats my guess at the moment but Purdys sample size is small

So so so true lol

I guess your ok with paying an average QB that’s regressing 40 million to consistently throw into double teams and turn the ball over.

Rush isn’t a top 10 QB and neither is Dak but one of them is paid like they are. Rush’s true potential is that he costs 35 million less than Dak annually and doesn’t prevent the team from signing talent around him.

That theory has been debunked. It's not real, some fan made it up. We had a rookie QB and RB who played at a very high level on their rookie contracts in 2016. Please tell me all of the talent that Jerry brought in around them. The line was built, but it's not like what you're suggesting had the impact you have your expectations set on, do they?
