It’s like they’re terrified of Lance being either horrible or great.

So terrified that they don’t want to chance it either way.

Oh well. Losers lose.
One could make the case that with the way the Panthers have been playing lately, that a running QB like Lance could wreck the game and get a W for the Cowboys .

Stop with the “Jerry is sending a message to Dak” junk.

The only message to Dak is you can be a loser and we’ll still make you the highest paid player ever.
The message is like this: “Dak, the Cowboys are competing, playing better, and winning games with Cooper at the QB position. Cooper earns $2.5M a season while you will earn $60M a season.

Dak you seriously need to figure out how to play a lot better. You have been stating you must play better for multiple seasons now. Yet, your play has regressed to the point of you and the Cowboys consistently getting dog walked by the opponents at home.”

Jerry already sent his message to Dak earlier last week when he told him that Mike's job would have been safer if he'd played better. Not much else needs to be said after that

It happened.

The contract is signed.

Dak doesn’t have to do anything. He won.

I don't disagree with Jerry about Rush giving them the best chance of winning, but what does that say about Lance, and the trade Jerry made?

I think the Cowboys have already decided to move on from Lance after this season. I don't think the Cowboys will make any attempt to re-sign him. If that's the case then why play him? I assume if there is a blowout game he will put him in there for garbage time, but other than that I don't see Lance playing.

I didn't mind the trade for Lance when it happened, but I think the Cowboys have completely messed up with him since they got him.

The one question I have now if what did they think they could accomplish with him when they made the trade? The 49ers tried to develop him and gave up. What did the Cowboys see? It seems like the acquired him and quickly realized he is never going to be an NFL QB.

Certainly we are going to sign Trey to a multiple year contract at the conclusion of the season. Jerry is just trying to hide his talents from the rest of the league. This is another Red Shirt year for Trey. One of many I might add.

What a stupid trade. So Jerry just gave away a fourth round pick that could have been a running back. How about talking to your coaches before you make a trade to see how a player fits in their scheme. So you guys trust this man with a top 10 pick to actually make the right pick? I certainly don’t…….

This is the sort of big picture answer that the GM should have strong input on, even make the decision.

It's just the wrong answer.
