We can't move Proctor b/c we are razor thin at G.

McQ was supposed to get a look there but had to play T most of TC and pre-season.

We're not razor thin at G. We've got Proctor and Berger as backups, plus McQuistan has worked there, plus Kosier can play either side, plus Gurode can play C and G.

Trading our backup C is more of an issue, though. I'm not sure how Beger compares with Proctor at C.

good grief man.

I think we all need to give reeves and jones a shot this week and see what happens.

After all this is a team being led by an undrafted rookie. Lets just see how they play before we overreact and give up too much.

Besides, isnt dyson ailing a little, I thought I read he had an injury of some kind.

We've had Jones/Reeves for four years. If we don't know what they can do by now, we're in trouble. That's why I don't understand the Joey Thomas waive. He played solid in camp & preseason, with an interception to prevent a TD. Why not keep him & see what HE can do, & let one of the above go?

Giving up a 5th or 6th rounder for a third-CB would be doable imo. I'd make the swap if that's what it took to get Dyson. Upgrade over Nate Jones & Evan Ogelsby.....

i'd do it. apparantely no one is stepping up to give the jets an OG, and if dyson is still on the market, alternatives will naturally come next. at this point i'd offer a 6th next year and just see what happens.

We had Romo for 4 years, and we didn't know what he could do. But i don't see you complainin bout that?

The coaches thought Parakeete Jones and Reeves were better than Joey Thomas I'd reckon.

well Bledsoe sucked, and was being outplayed by Romo in practice anyways

McQ had maybe 2 days of work at OG before being moved back to OT

again, I would like to see McQ push Kosier off the roster, until then Kosier is a solid staring NFL LG while McQ is unproven

 you mean out the starting lineup or roster, cause he'd make a great back-up lineman

Actually by most accounts to Parcells dismay Bledsoe outplayed and beat out Romo last training camp. He had Bled on a short leash and maybe decided rightfully so that his line was so bad his only chance at QB was to insert Romo. It went well early and fell apart late on him.

Now we need to fix that Oline or Romo will get killed or implode. This is a timing offense that requires Romo stepping into pocket and making quick reads. Which he is great at.

Can Romo do that? - I have mild reservations. He is more comfortable improvising sometimes. I know the WCO is changing pocket passers some but I do believe you can't win with QB's running around back there.

I'd like to sit besides Parcells at Saratoga Country club bar for a direct 1 question and answer (why did you truly walk away from Dallas?) 1 Super Bowl away from cementing his career legacy.

LTN - you are a big Parcells follower. What is the direct off the record answer from Bill? I have a thought on it.
