JG wasn't fired, even though he should have been. Dak's lack of abiliity to throw the forward pass should get an owner/GM fired...AR being AR clearly has his hands all over this firing. The comparisons aren't even in the same universe my man

Was Garrett ever fired? Not extending a contract with no years left might have the same end result of being fired but it isn't the same. Same as McCarthy this season. He is in a lame duck season. Him not being here next year doesn't mean he was fired.

McCarthy was fired during the season in Green Bay. Just like Saleh today. Same as Wade in 2010. Those are true firings.

The Jets are a mess. They’ll be looking for a new HC and their 40-year-old QB may decide to hang it up after this season. Sam Darnold who they used a top five pick on a few years ago just beat them and is currently undefeated. That really has to hurt. lol

I think he's better off as a DC. Probably work out better for him in the long run.

Pretty much any coach is better off long term being a coordinator. You are much more insulated from the whims of team leadership and actually get to focus on your craft over team politics.

You might make a few more bucks in the short term, but most head coaches end up on the outs after a relatively quick time in the sun. Coordinators hang around for decades in the league it seems.

Their defense was fine with Demeco Ryans, but they did not perform up to expectations under Wilks last year, and now it seems like Sorensen is taking some heat, too.

But it definitely could just be personnel related.
