The Jets are a mess. They’ll be looking for a new HC and their 40-year-old QB may decide to hang it up after this season. Sam Darnold who they used a top five pick on a few years ago just beat them and is currently undefeated. That really has to hurt. lol
It really does. Darnold even had a bad game, his worst of the season and still the Jets lost.

Their defense was fine with Demeco Ryans, but they did not perform up to expectations under Wilks last year, and now it seems like Sorensen is taking some heat, too.

But it definitely could just be personnel related.
true, i didn't even think about how they've been underperforming this year.

This move meets the approval of this fan...He didn't truly lead his team and demanded, not motivated.

I give Dak lots of crap...and rightfully so. But I've always given him credit for keeping a tight locker room (until it blew up in the playoffs lol). Rodgers has the arm of Achilles but the heart of Dionysus. He's not a leader of men and it shows no matter where he is. He uses his cache for selfish, personal gain...and has very little concept of team. Also note...Rodgers is a big-time choker in big games...not as many as Dak and certainly a better QB...but ultimately a choker.

Multiple reports over the past few weeks of Rogers and Saleh relationship....it was seed-planting...

Weird that everyone is saying Saleh being fired was a shock...Last week I looked up top 5 coaches on hot seat when researching teams for Belicheck...Saleh was in the top 5...

Im still curious if Rogers is hard to work with or not. Until I see more proof, I think the people hating on Rogers is more propaganda put out by Owners. I think most of the Rogers hate is because he applies serious pressure on FO's in contract talks. Businesses hate when individuals use business tactics to help themselves. Rogers seems to be very aggressive during contract negotiations which is where a lot of hate started with him.

Maybe he throws his weight around too much with demands for certain coaches, not wanting a competitive back-up QB to be drafted....but I think it is mostly hate because he uses strong negotiation tactics.

Odd, ain't it....when someone uses someone elses same tactics or uses good strong tactics....the other side doesnt like it. As in, teams will hate on their own player over money. smh.

I'm glad you noticed that ,you don't need to be totally on your game to have a team win I think everyone around here does that with Prescott I'm watching Patrick Mahomes have a pretty average last 12 games not doing much last night, they put up a stat look like he had 3.7 average airtime on his throws..

and yet these players take some of these short passes 50 or 60 yards and allows him to look good but no tds and an INT.. .it was team win,.. that is why when you make a game winning drive for td you shouldn't be overly criticized for anything that happened in between.

Sams Defense is all world right now, the HC understands run the ball protect the QB and stress, don't lose the game with TOS.. easy to play like that..

Rodgers setup this guy. We know what kind of wacko Rodgers is.

I would love him as our DC. He would be waaaay better than Zimmer or Quinn.

But I assume some of their HC friends will quickly pick him up.

Aaron Rodgers is pulling off a Le-GM move.

Saleh was brought in as a defensive guy, and that's exactly what he did. Built a playoff-caliber defense while the offense fumbled around with Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle. It's not his fault that Rodgers is washed either. Rodgers is being selfish and whiny like usual and pointing the finger at anyone except himself.

This is going to be like the Dolphins' Brian Flores firing a couple seasons ago. A good coach getting fired for internal political reasons rather than job performance. Flores has the Vikings defense playing at a Super Bowl type level, and will be able to get another HC job in 2025 if he wants one no problem. I think Saleh will follow a similar path.

I am sure they’ll get an interim HC for the rest of the season and then probably at least try for BB next season. BB may want to stay away from that place. Can’t be that desperate.
So the people BB spurned 20 years ago are going to want him now?

Somebody lost a lot of money in Vegas betting our moron would be the first coach fired. Poor guy.

Saleh was victim of a situation he had no control over. The QB position did him in. And Woody probably had nightmares after getting beat by Darnold (who they drafted in 2018). Seeing him at 5-0 has to stick in his craw.
