Seriously? Wasnt he a personell guy for the seahawks? Or qb coach?

I had to google him for his complete history.

Not exactly a sexy hire.

Seems kind of errily familar, sort of like the Jason Garrett situation last year where Jerry hired him as OC and was thought to be a canindate for the HC job but none of us took it that seriously.

Then it turns out Jerry was closer to naming him the HC than many of us would have expected.

That sounds like what Synder did here, he was impressed big by Zorn, and underwhelmed by others. But who wouldnt be with the names he interviewed

If Jerry hired an african chimp to be the Dallas HC, Danny would hire one two.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

What a joke!!

They completely FAILED to find any coach worth a damn so they had to promote the scrub QB coach to head coach.

I bet even Fassel walked away from that turn position.

Uh... its nothing lik e JG. JG was a HOT COMMODITY. Redball was on his way up. But he made him OC after 1 year as QB coach with Miami.

This guy Zorn is a spare that has been a career long QB coach until the Moron Skins hired him to be OC--something no other team in the league was interested in doing.

Then, after failing to find any coach who would take their HC position, they are forced to promote this spare to HC.

This is awesome. They are going to completely implode.

Have the mental hospitals in DC been put on alert for suicide attampts or delusional fans?

They are pretty happy over at ES for the most part. I think ANYONE other than Fassel makes them giddy. Besides, you know how they'll spin it. By this time next week he'll be the next coming of Gibbs.

If the people at ES are excited about this, then they are even DUMBER than I thought they were.

This is so amazing.

Holy hell I love Danny Snyder. He's my favorite owner.

Just checked out ExtremeSkins board. To say their fans are surprised is to put it mildly. A few feel it's better then Fassal, others think no other coach wanted the job cause of Snyder's ego, some think Zorn is keeping the seat hot for Cowher next year and some think Zorn will magically install the WC offense easily/quickly and they will win.

Frankly, I think Snyder is just doing what he's been doing which is trying to outdo Jerry Jones. After all, Jerry hired 2 year QB coach Jason Garrett as Cowboys OC even though Garrett had never called any plays. Of course Jerry also made sure to keep Sparano around to help Garrett over the rough spots and also as someone very familiar with the various talents of the players on the team. Snyder left out that little bit of help for Zorn. Wonder if Snyder's going to promote from within or hire an outsider to replace Zorn at OC.

BTW: Wasn't Zorn the Seattle QB coach for 6 years? You'd have thought if he so impressive that Holmgren would have promoted him to another offensive position like WR, etc.

It's funny that there's a thread at ES that was made before this announcement talking about promoting Zorn, and at least pre-hire, almost all of them said it was a terrible idea.

Now that he's hired they're all backtracking and trying to justify the hire. It's amazing.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

You've got to love the mix of homerism and flat out stupidity over there. The Eagles are the most excited team in the division. They just sky-rocketed out of the division cellar and haven't even held a practice yet.

This is just a band-aid so they can pay Bill Cowher 9 mill per year.

I'm surprised but that's about all I'm feeling. He's an unknown, so it's difficult to say whether this is a good or bad hire. I'm just happy it's not Mooch.
