CC----see if we had Jimmy he put fear of God in those players and none of either dumb penalties or pre-snap penalties occur...but another thing is the refs are not

near as good these days either....they miss so much....then they seem to overcompensate when replay shown on big screen...oh we owe them...and it just makes

all objective officiating worse

Vaquero---you are correct it was a kicker
Penalties or their lack have killed a lot of opportunity this season...that's as far as observing this season allows my evaluations until the path is over.

Against top level teams, it's all about making the first game changer and when.

The Head Coach is responsible for maintaining focus and accountability, even in this NFL.

Jerry is the one who controls everything with the Cowboys. He is the problem. Pick a different hero Jerrry isn't a good one.
Try bingo, it operates on make believe and being lucky...and Jerry doesn't have to be a hero. That falls ALL on the coaches and players. This group is good and you are still crying.

Ranching---but Jimmy developed that roster by trading Walker to Minnesota and then picking right players from draft.....seems you may have forgotten that????
You don't see the full picture and amount of players acquired to make changes fast enough to work...and Jerry fully involved and signing his signature for all to happen. This fall to closely to single hero worship. It took all to pull it off. Money still did the real work to go from A to B, then. That and a lot of team effort to include the scouts and system back then.

All I know is what Jimmy did for the Cowboys and they wouldn't have the 3 SBs in the 90s without him.

The hate for those 99s teams on this forum is unbelievable, Troy gets it because any QB could have done it with t hat talent, Emmitt gets it because he ran behind that great offensive line and on and on.. ..

Idk Jimmy from Adam but he brought me a lot of great memories as a Cowboy fan......thank you Coach.

I am arguing with a clown on another thread about BB. Apparently anyone could have won a SB with Brady.
While others here suggest anyone could have won Super Bowls here with our talent.

The game and type of players have changed. They all enter all ready invested in money. There now is a chap and management of both talent and cash is the dominant element in the sport. The Head Coach is the factor that stands out is the dominant feature. A complete educated as well as control of team focus is the most important aspect to today's NFL results. The GM is the most important element to length of team projection in stability.

This takes a quality coach and franchise control of cap. A head coach such as Bellichick now, and Jimmy back in the early 90's could mold a top team.

Today, it takes a top rated Scouting section working strongly with the Coaching group to be a winner.

Jerry is not now any part of a carry over problem. It is further not the result of Jimmy forcing his own departure.

One can cry all he wishes for missing a point in the past...but that still doesn't change the current facts or justify missing just that point in time and blame missing that on today's conditions. That is called living in the past and not appreciating it with all the stereotyped whipping boy approach.

Catch up to the game or when all is just insulting return...for non-current causes, That isn't part today's culture as well. Just who does one expect to suck up to stereotyping instead of real evaluations. Really think all crowds are controlled by a Harvard President?
Good God, this is totally a messed up word salad! Yeah, I doubt a Harvard President could not even decipher this mess. Wow...

I'm not your whipping boy for anyone else's possible view...only for what I do so state. I won't pay someone else's bills...for the record.

Oh, I get it. I didn't say good strong enough to mean your good definition. Really? Good.

And GM was in contention and the reason why Jimmy left. He wanted both the power and glory of GM when that wasn't offered or on the table in Dallas. If you don't admit that then that opinion is biased as well as old hero worship.
CCBoy now talking to himself? lmao

Made the playoffs all 3 years with a crippled Dan Marino
i guess Jimmy in late 70's would not want the Job....but he could do it better than any coach still at his age...he still looks young...my people look like walking zombies once you hit 60....
