It's a shame that he doesn't listen to the right people if that's the problem.

I'm wondering if he goes back to his scouts or Will McClay like he should.

If he does and it doesn't work out reliably, he should fire or replace them.

Normally, past drafts have worked out well but maybe some scouts suck.

Jerry consistently drafts DB's w/ poor lateral agility. If his scouts are not pointing this out, then he needs new scouts.

If Jerry can't judge his players well, he likely can't judge the talent of his scouts, either. I suspect he often fails to listen to McClay and goes solo. Jerry isn't likely to fire himself in that event. Even then, the best of scouts miss their choices quite often, especially in the later rounds. It's no easy job.
