You are intent on being upset I see. You channeling your inner comptroller or something?

So they can recoup most of McClain's money and it's not 'wasted' then.

As for DMC, I like him better than Morris who looks slow and Dunbar who is diminutive. And holding him hostage and then unceremoniously dumping him is precisely the type of thing I would expect from a soulless finance type.
Power to the People......they have a great social justice warrior on their side....maybe they can find a safe space on the sideline

Power to the soulless financier. They have the great social inequity warrior on their side. Maybe they can make themselves richer at the expense of others.

Small business owners that espouse the ethics of the CFO's of multinationals are amusing.

People don't seem to understand that Jones loves his players. That means even the ones with problems. Maybe some of you disown your kids when they don't please you but Jerry seeks to help those he calls his own.

Telling Ro Mac that he has nowhere to come back to does not help him. Giving him a reason to improve does.

Oh COME ON the guy had had like 8 freaking chances in the NFL. Eventually you just move on from a guy.

Marx's social construct has been thoroughly repudiated; the old aristocratic orders don't even exist in the US anyway. Nonetheless, football like religion is a wonderful tool for social control. It acts as a surrogate for worry.

Don't worry about economic consolidation and why people have less disposable income to buy my products or why I am so easy to undercut; instead worry about who might play QB for the Cowboys or who they are paying.

If you are being undercut your product isn't good enough.....people will pay for quality....those that sign the front of the paychecks are capable enough to have a social awareness, make a profit and enjoy some downtime by watching football

Fuzzy, how many chances do you think RoMac should get?

Nice mindless oversimplification. 'Not good enough' is just circular nonsense.

Very true monetarily but it'd surely could cost him further embarrassment if it didn't work out. Not sure whether to laugh or cry . . .
If you think Jerry is embarrassed about RoMac you're not only wrong but it says a lot about you.

Let's not get personal -- it says nothing at all about me other than I offered an opinion on a football website. Too bad if you don't agree.

What's funny is I haven't seen him say this about Gregory. How nice would that be to have homefield wrapped up and then he could play the final 2 games to get tuned up and have him in the playoffs as a situational pass rusher!

For Ro, I've always liked the guy. He is the enforcer on D. Really disappointed in him. However, this is right up his alley. No practice, TC, etc just come and play and kill people!!

Gregory has been working out with Jaylon and the trainers for a month or more at this point. I don't think it really needs to be said. If he is in the meeting rooms too he should transition fine.

So, you are saying this like this kind of charitable behavior is a good thing.

Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right.

From what I have seen, McClain has more than blown his opportunity for that privilege.

It is not like he has ever approached top level play consistently in between the suspensions.

Continuing to give stupid more opportunities is just idiotic bleeding heart charity.

Jones talks about "chemistry" with the QB thing, he needs to do the same with the entire team.

He is on a make good contract. What idiotic is quibbling over the replacement level contract that would supplant his hold.

From what I have seen, McClain has a substance abuse issue and his boss is helping him. He's not taking a roster spot so it is not costing anyone else a job.

I like Jerry. He is accountable to his people and shows empathy. He sets a good example in my view.

In today's NFL, you show empathy, you eventually end up having to pay the player if they con you.

It is pretty clear he learned from Al Davis to take all the flotsam and unwanted and it worked before, but now you have to pay that talent now. Even after minimal production. They have tried to keep it simple with one year deals with this player and he still can't hold himself together to exploit that charity.

If I am Jones, I simply move on at this point. He has done more than enough to show "empathy".

In the real world, McClain would get fired from fry cook jobs for his idiocy.

Had Haley, Irvin, Nate, etc had Goodell as the commissioner, with social media, their fates would be eerily similar.

He is not an idiot but if you need to get some angst out, have at it.

So he is a misunderstood addict hooked on low rent Purple Drank? He is not even refined enough to smoke a bowl like a normal person .

No. McClain is an idiot.

I'll be honest, I don't want RoMac back. He's shown that football doesn't mean Jack to him, so it's time to kick his butt to the curb. As for Jaylon, IF (and its a big if) he comes back this season, I don't want them to rush him into significant playing time. He wouldn't have played in over a year, and the vote can't go from idle to full speed without working up to it.

Yup, if Jaylon is 100 percent healthy, you don't start him. Ease him in slowly so that he can get his football legs back. Agree completely about RoMac, and that disappoints me because he played so well at one point.
