Savage rated the South safeties in this order (listed with comments from his evaluation):
J.J. Wilcox, Georgia Southern: "He has natural range from the middle of the field and is physical when he comes downhill to support the run. He also returns kickoffs and should be an immediate contributor on special teams as a rookie."
Bacarri Rambo, Georgia: "Bacarri is a sizable, one-speed athlete who is fluid in his movements and has a nose for the football. ... If he can run fast enough at the Combine, Bacarri will be a third-, fourth-round draft choice with a chance to become a starter in the future."
Shawn Williams, Georgia: "Although he is aggressive on plays in front of him, he is a straight-line athlete with lateral limitations in space and pass coverage. Shawn should be able to play on special teams as a rookie and may get an opportunity to help on defense in certain packages."
Robert Lester, Alabama: "This strong safety-type athlete has the size to support the run, but does have some lateral stiffness in his change-of-direction and coverage skills. He tends to get 'stuck' when transitioning from forward to reverse and that will be an issue when playing from the middle of the field."
