That makes him the best safety in the draft?

And by your logic if Rambo isn't starting at some point this year, then he is a flop. You've set a pretty high bar for the #191 selection in the 6th round. If you were so concerned about getting an immediate starter, you should be upset with us not getting Reid or Cyprien.

Yes. He would be a flop because skins have trash at safety. He will beat out all of them. It's not like Seattle drafted him. Lol

That does not make him good because he beats out guys who are worse. Claiming who is better when neither has even played a single down in the NFL is a bit silly. These are both young prospects and Cowboys liked what they saw from Wilcox and given recent history they like him as a player and as a person they can depend on.

But we have trash at safety as well. What does it say when Wilcox is behind them? Pay attention.

Who cares? All I care about is that he is a good player for us.

Your reading too much into what a rookie is doing week 1. Especially a rookie that isn't even a 3rd round pick. 90% or more of guys drafted in his position are not starting week 1!!!!

And I am willing to bet that Rambo will not be starting either.

It says he is a young player who is a mid rd pick and likely will not start on day 1 but that does not make him a bad player it only makes you a short sighted fan. NFL is a big leap and the guys you call trash believe it or not were pretty good college players when they came to the NFL.

I would love nothing more than Wilcox to come in day 1 and just play lights out but I have watched the NFL too long to know better and than often times it takes some time for these guys to be ready to handle this jump from college ranks to the Pros.

Ok. Bottomline, why draft a project of were in (win now) mode?????

As far as Rambo, he's an enemy now. I can't take back what I think is fact, and that is he will be the best playmaker in that secondary. If he's not starting day 1 I'd be shocked.

I hope Wilcox doesn't take as long as Church did to develop. I don't want to see Wilcox solely on special teams for 3 years before he gets some real PT.

I think Church was capable of starting his 2nd year, but I think the coaching change from Wade -> Ryan held him back because Ryan wanted to bring in someone familiar with his system. If Church had been higher drafted or the franchise had more invested in him, I think the issue would have been pushed a little bit. Ryan was also using a way more complext system. Really, Kiffin's scheme shouldn't be rocket science for any safety to pick up. Especially with two good man coverage CBs, we shouldn't be running a lot of crazy exotic multi-look zones. You're either going to have the athletic ability to play it or you aren't.

all mid rd picks are projects, hell 1st rd picks are never sure things. Get a clue teams are not selecting mid and late rd picks expecting them to be day 1 starters.

Does anyone truly believe that the only issue with Rambo is that he just flunked a weed test, and that singlehandedly sent him flying down to the 6th round? Really? And considering the Georgia defensive coordinator previously coached at Valley Ranch, don't you think the Cowboys had a pretty good handle on what Rambo's issues were?

Does anyone really believe that anyone else has a say other then the walking corpse upstairs? Look no further then round 1.

Who cares why he dropped? What was Richard Sherman's issue? Tom Brady? Stop the repetitive (he can't be good because he fell) trash.

all mid rd picks are, people love throwing around the lable of projects but in reality they are, not just Cowboy picks. It is hard enough to make a living in the NFL for top draft choices the failure rate is high so to expect that mid rd selection will come in and just take over and if he doesn't then he is a bust is very short sighted.

Some of these young guys will come in day 1 and start but the odds are most will not.

Of course not. But please share what makes him not the best.

ha this is pointless. He was a 6th round pick. Nobody knows who the best safety in the class is yet. Now move along Skins fan.

Yes, Tom Brady is exactly like Bacarri Rambo. Thanks for setting a new low in intellectualism at CZ. I assure you it was no easy feat.

I don't know about Wilcox because I haven't seen much of him other than highlights, but from watching Rambo play sevreral times I don't believe he can cover NFL WRs. He just isn't quick enough. If he makes it in the NFL I'd bet it's as a STer. It's too hard to hide a safety weak in coverage in today's NFL.
