I know these guys are idiots for failing these drug tests, but why do we care if they're smoking pot at this point? Guys who smoke pot generally just mellow out and chill at home, and almost never get into trouble with the law because they've been smoking. On the other hand, there is no penalty for athletes who drink, even though 99% of player run-ins with the law (fights at clubs, fights w girlfriends, DUI, car accidents, etc) are alcohol related. Personally, I prefer my favorite players stay in and smoke a little, it keeps them out of trouble.

While i completely agree, its likely due to pot still being illegal in most states. Wouldn't really look good on the NFL to say they are ok with their people using illegal (for now) substances.

"another defensive starter is one failed test away from a four-game suspension"
He's already had one 4 games suspension. Next one would be bigger right?

I dont think so, because he was re-instated due to the rule being new. I dont know if it carries over.

The issue with pot is that it is illegal. And in states it is, it's how they get the pot.
PED's, guess it depends on what it is. And how they got it. Though not all illegal. Or if prescribed.
wonder if there are any players with a pot prescriptions...lol..

Even if the NFL wanted to "allow" use of pot, how would they implement such a rule when some teams reside in states where it is legal and others reside in states where it is illegal? On top of that it is still against federal law as far as I am aware. The administration of such a rule would seem to be a huge mess if you ask me.

Until all the states that house NFL teams or games make use of pot legal, it really is a pointless discussion imo.

Crawford?

Losing a quality big body would hurt more than Scandrick.

Maybe the nfl needs to change the marijuana policy.

I know I know... If they can't stop then they deserve etc... Get tough on crime... Just say no....

The hypocrisy that they allow much more dangerous narcotics is laughable and becoming outdated fast.

This all day.... You guys take painkillers, please. That way you can have a healthy life of narcotic addiction and chronic head trauma after you retire. It's a ******** system.

Wouldn't it be Scandrick?

Does getting suspended reset your strikes? I'd assume that because he already got suspended for 4 games, another failed test probably means a bigger suspension, not a strike.

Yes, he did.

It just wasn't reported. The only way the fine gets reported is if someone leaks it.

No wonder these guys keep smoking and get the 4 game suspension. It's got to be hard for them to go out and put their body on the line for free.

They could just stop testing for it. Unless is the same set of tests that also help identify PEDs, I guess.

R. McClain, Gregory, and Scandrick, are the ones that have already had drug suspensions. If not Gregory or McClain...I'd guess it's Scandrick.

DLaw.

Not because I think he is that kind of guy. Just our DL is so thin, that this would just be cherry on top of the sundae.
