Mark Stepnoski, former President of the Texas Chapter of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), stated that smoking pot really helped him with his back pains that were vaused by football injuries. He saif he feared the addictive nature of traditional pain medication.

Most players who are good enough to play in nfl, were star players in college and high school.
So they have been spoiled, pampered, glorified, get whatever they want, teachers make it easy for them, and any wrong doings
are smoothed over , and taken care of, to keep them on the field.
This leads to problems once they hit the nfl.

Some may have smoked weed since HS, and like some here, they think it is ok and rules are stupid.
They have never worked a real job, and they really dont see clearly what waits for them if they blow their nfl career.

So they either think they can beat the tests, but then dont, or they think somehow it will get smoothed out as in the past.
Surely they wont get cut because they are so good.

Then add to that , they get paid while on suspension ?? I think they do, and to me that just makes some think why not?
Also many of these guys are just not too bright.

Another thing is to many of these guys the money they get initially, is a lot of money to them, so they think it will last a long time
and they have no idea how quick it will go, and probably give no thought to what they will do if they get phased out of nfl.

And some might think it is ok to get cut from a team, and then they can straighten up and get with another team.

But it all goes back to the life they have led for the 8 years or so leading up to the nfl and how they were treated and taken care of,

yes pot relieves various types of pain, and also gives a person a good nites sleep, a deeper sleep.
and many other medical aides, but my question to you is .....
How do you think the pharmaceutical industry views pot being legal ????????????
It would or could cut into their business big time.

How do you think the alcohol industry views pot being legal ????????????
It would or could cut into their business big time.

Then there are other powers that be that would lose money if pot were legal.
The dea doesnt want it legal either.

It isnt about what is right,or fair, it is about money and not rocking the current boat.

This is true. Marijuana is great for many people for pain management. Weed vs. Opiates. Gee, that's a stupid choice people gotta make to be legal.

Better not. But probably Is. The one corner worth a damn

I don't care for Scandrick...reminds me of a dog chasing a car often. I know most like him, I don't..just don't trust him.

It's Scandrick. JJT really has no good sources and that's why it's easy to guess that it's Scandrick.

Yeah, it's not dangerous, blokes. It starts off as a harmless puff while joyriding in Dad's car. Then it escalates. One morning you wake up with a marihuana hangover, taking that $10 bill from your Mom's purse for a bag of muggles. Then, one day, you find yourself pawning your Dad's bowling ball. Why? To get all high and far out. Yeah, that cheap motel you share with 5 men who normally live under the bridge in a van, is a haven for now. Marihuana needles all over the floor. Waiting for another injection to get high and far out and strung out again. Then, one day, tragically, your mom is weeping over you in the E.R. The doc gives it to her straight: You are addicted. it will take 10 years of rehab to get you clean and now your families finances are a shambles. And you know what, it all starts with that harmless puff while joyriding in Dad's car. Think about it hard. Real hard. Only dopes inject dope. High and far out take you only so far in this world. To the rave, to the Saturday Night Scorpion Stomp in Luling or to the Water Burger in Plano. I for one, am tired of calling parents in the middle of the night and telling them their son is addicted to muggles, assassin of youth. Yep, smoked a doobie brother and wounded 50 people at the Home Depot reunion. Mighty tired, mates!

Well done.

I thought about this today (not consistently but periodic breaks) and my money is on Scandrick. And if it is correct you can bet that keeps Ramsey firmly entrenched on Dallas short list.

The more I thought about it the more I think it's not so much the use the league cares about but the sale and distribution by players. These are young men with new money and no real ideas on investments. If the league took a soft stance toward it then they wouldn't be doing all they can to keep this possibility down. It's an image protection position.

I left out all those who profit from the illegal sale of it, could be politicians get kickbacks on that too.

Basically many would lose money if it were made legal, and only the consumers would benefit from it.
It would also add money in form of taxes, but the ones that would lose $ are some powerful entity's.
